okay!
so i was thinking, he grew up in a rich family ( dad a famous lawyer, mom a something xD)
got into highschool, when he suffered a family lost (like his favorite cousin)
and started messing up, doing drugs and stuff
senior year he didn't get his stuff together
so he didn't get accepted into any higher-end/ivy league schols
his family(well dad) basically disowned him
he's trying to get his life together, which is why he's attenting NYU and working at the coffee shop
