( don't apologize lol ) :: Thea ::
Thea stared at him questionably, with a slight smirk on her face before sliding around on the rope. She was laughing because the butterflies were erupting in her stomach from the sensation. "This is so much fun!" She swung again, throwing her head back and giggling like a little girl. ( I just see Repunzel swinging from her hair xD so. After there little cute meeting we can skip to the party? Maybe they could take a walk and talk about serious stuff and then people walk by and stuff happens lol?)

[Sure!]
Thea's loud giggles made Devin whip his head up, to peer curiously at the girl. Although he was a loner, he wasn't anti-social, and he warmed up to people quickly, even if he didn't trust them that much. He didn't even try fighting against the rumors, and if most of them were stupid enough to believe everything without trying to get to know them, then so be it. They didn't deserve to be his friend. He could understand if some were a little afraid, but the ones that approached and bullied him obviously weren't If they thought he was a murderer, wouldn't they try to be nice to him? So they wouldn't 'get killed' for bothering him? He suddenly frowned at this though, and he whipped his head around to glance at all of the other students. He offered them all a grin, but it wasn't like a friendly, happy grin. It was one of those creepy, mischievous ones. If they wanted him to play the role that they thought he did, then he would act like it. Of course without the killing and stuff. But he could act creepy.

:: Thea ::
Thea twirled a bit more, than planted her on the shiny floor of the gym. "You want a turn?" she asked breathlessly, her hair a bit of a mess in her face. She ran her slim fingers through it before smiling at him like a dork. She was a dork. "I mean, this is pretty fun." Her green eyes darted around the gym, then landed back on Devin, oblivious to it all.
Just then a girl, whom Thea guessed was popular of some sort, sauntered up to Thea and Devin in her volleyball outfit, which was the team practicing next to them on the other court. "Hey, you're the new girl right?" she snapped her gum, sending a 'I'm disgusted' glare towards Devin. Thea saw it, pursing her lips, and glanced between the two of them.
"I'm Thea," she said hesitantly, though offered a nice smile.
"I'm Rebecca Rodman. I'm sure you'll get to know me soon enough," she flipped her hair curtly and laughed along with her friends. Thea just watched her with a friendly smile still. "Anyways, I just thought I'd invite you to this huge party that's tonight. Every one who's anyone is going to be there," Rebecca told her, smiling a wide, bitchy smile. "Stop by if you wanna have some fun," she shrugged, sent another nasty look at Devin, and then left with her friends once more. Thea thought for a second, then turned back to Devin.
"Hmm. A party. Haven't been to one of those in a while. Are you going?" she asked him, but didn't even let him answer. "Wait, yes you are. I'm inviting you as my plus one," she smirked, positioning herself to swing on the rope again. "So you have to come," she explained, forgetting she'd asked him to have a turn before swinging again.

Devin curiously watched Thea as he lowered her back to the floor. He pondered her first question for a moment and opened his mouth to reply, but the volleyball girl interrupted him before he was able to speak. He slowly turned to her, summed her up, and then grinned knowingly, before it was replaced with a scowl. He knew what was coming. She was here to fetch Thea and tell her about the rumors. But what came out of the volleyball girl next, surprised him. He cast a bewildered glance at Thea when she practically ordered him to come. He opened his mouth several times, but nothing came out. He was at a loss of words. Since she was probably going to be upset if he didn't come, he grudgingly agreed with a nod. "Well, I suppose." He gruffly muttered, casting a glare at the ground. It was replaced with a halfhearted smile as he glanced up at her. "Where do you want to meet then? Unless we just kind of find each other there?"

:: Thea ::
Thea thin lips turned upwards in a grin. "How about I meet you there at eight thirty?" she offered, beginning to untie her knot on her harness so that he could have a turn.

"Okay." Devin softly agreed, smile disappearing from his handsome face. His gaze flickered down to her harness and he took a step back, shaking his head. "I don't want to go on there. I'm fine. I'll wait until the actual climbing."[Want to skip to the party?]

{ Yeah } :: Thea :: Thea's feet slipped in the sand of the out side, raging party held down by the beach she had yet to explore since she moved here. It was dark out and the ocean plashed against the shore in thick, inky like waves, sparkling in the light of the moon. Bon fires dotted the beach and partying teens, with drinks in hand, bustled all around Thea as she leaned against a tree leading into the forest nearby. She bought her own drink before she'd arrived in her car, not a big fan of cheap beer or alcohol in general. Plus she knew she'd have to be driving herself home tonight, and didn't want to risk anything. Her hair was curled lightly like it had that morning, laying over her shoulder like a sleek mop. The reflection of the bonfires dances in her green eyes as she scanned the party for Devin, hoping he'd stay true to his word and show up. Thea was okay with being alone, but the only reason she'd asked him to come was because he intrigued her. And didn't seem like a very outgoing guy. Maybe she was, she shouldn't judge. But Thea had always liked friends or just people who seemed thoughtful or honest. That's what she assumed this new boy was like.

Devin had nearly chickened out of going to the party, not really comfortable with going to the party with all those....people. They were just going to bully him, and since they weren't at school, people could gang up on him and beat him up. He might be strong, but he wasn't strong enough to fend off more than two people. And even two people were too difficult most of the time. But nonetheless he found himself standing on the beach. A relievd smile spread across his face at the sight in front of him.
"Excuse me. Thea?" He asked the girl, who was in fact, Thea. "You can turn around and face your dreams." It felt nice to tease someone, he hadn't done so in a long time, and this probably was going to be the last time for a while. He forced himself to smile, lips upturning in a cheeky grin, one that brightened up his face.

:: Thea ::
Thea turned abruptly when she heard the familiar voice of Devin. Her green eyes lit up with amusement, seeing his smile. "Hi," she grinned, stepping closer towards him so that they could talk without yelling over the music and loud voices of every one around them. After seeing the smile on his own face, Thea brushed her finger over his cheek lightly, like a teasing poke. "I like when you smile," she commented, pulling at the ends of her hair and rocking on her feet. She was nervous, like she always was around people she wanted to get to know. Thea's eyes were bright and intrigued, especially now that Devin was here and hadn't ditched her. "It's crazy here!"

Devin tensed when Thea's small fingers brushed against his cheek, and he stepped away as soon as her hand fell. He offered a tentative smile, ripping his gaze away from hers, to scan the scenery. "It looks pretty cool, but it isn't really my thing." He wasn't exactly a people person, and when he was, no one wanted to hang out with him anyway. "So...what d you want to do? Socialize with the others?" his eyebrows furrowed thoughtfully, glancing askance at the other people. "Could we just take a walk? If that's alright?" he glanced back at Thea, offering another smile.

:: Thea ::
Thea didn't really notice his tense body language, just smiled cheerily. "Yeah! I'd like that," she offered simply and began walking in the opposite direction of the part, stopping to wait for Devin to catch up with another grin. "So," she started, scanning the forest/beach area in front of them as they walked side by side. "Tell me about you. Got any big secrets I don't know about?'" she joked, not knowing anything or suspecting anything about him, just trying to be funny.

Devin quickly caught up to Thea with his long stride, falling in step with her. "Well, not really. Even if others think I do." his words held hidden meaning, remembering when she had saw all of the people at the Gym giving him weird glances. "I live by myself...I'm pretty much of a loner at school, not because I'm uncool, but because of gossip and stuff...." he sighed, running his hands through his hair before they drifted down to rub the sides of his face. "What about you? Tell me about yourself. I'm not that cool to talk about, ayway. So.." he gave a shrug, offering her another grin.

:: Thea ::
Thea ran her hands over a tree as they past, making sure to pick her feet up so she didn't trip over it's roots. "Well, I've been the new girl most of my life. Daddy always had to move because of his job. I'm hoping I'll be able to stay here for a while," she smiled at him then looked back down at her feet to once again judge her footing places. "I've probably been every type of girl you can think of; smoker, rebel, nerd, loner, prep," she explained, pushing some stray hair behind her ear. "But now I'm just me I guess," she shrugged and swung her arms near her waist as she walked. The air was beginning to chill down because of the set sun and lack of warmth from the bon fires. A breeze made goosebumps travel up her arms, though she tried not to make it obvious as she folded her arms over her chest to keep warm. "But I'm sure there's more to you then you're letting off," her green eyes flashed to him, offering another sweet smile.

Devin nodded. "Being you is the best thing you could do. That anyone could do." He explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'll wait for the others to tell you about me." He was silent for a few moments, tucking his hands into his pockets on his thighs. "And I just don't tell people that much about me...they all leave. So I find that it's a waste of my time, no offense. But I doubt you'll stay around long enough." He explained, gaze drifting away from hers. "maybe you will, but I doubt it." He was just waiting for some of the students to stumble over to them and blurt out the 'truth'.[Who's role-playing the other people?]

{ I can if you don't wanna! } :: Thea :: Her eyebrows furrowed, a bit confused by what he was saying, and a little offended. She stopped walking and stared at him. "What could be so bad about you?" she asked, her hands clutching her body tighter as the cold enveloped her body. Her mind wandered to many different ideas, and she bit her lip. "And who says I'll believe what they say?" there was accusation in her tone, kind of taken aback by his bluntness.
