Well if that didn't spark a fire in Kayden's belly, i don't know what would have. He was surprised, no doubt, and it took him a small moment of time to actually grasp what was going on. Mr. Jackass, making his big appearance in the shit-show. What a surprise. Azure optics when flying towards Bryn who scrambled against the wall, and immediately went back to the douche-canoe that had caused it. "The Fuck?" He roared, catching himself and brushing off where he had been touched on his light blue sweater. "Do you think it's okay to touch women like that?" He hissed, narrowing his eyes as he bore his glare directly into him. It was his turn to step up to bat, and he took quick and long strides to make his way directly in front of Mr. Jackass himself. He was trying to size the guy up, only making his statement more obvious as he rolled up his sleeves and tightened his hands into tight fists. Click. Click. Went the sound of his thumbs popping in the normal way he did when he was really angry. "She's not even yours, back off." It was a treat, obvi. Because if this guy didn't back off, he was going to throw the first punch. Which actually sounded sort of nice, since he still had that urge to punch something sitting in the back of his mind somewhere. And it was coming forward quickly as he stared, eye to eye with this guy.

Bryn gasped, running to get in between them. "S-Stop!" she urged but her wails of protest were feeble.
Jackson's jaw muscle tensed up and his eyes shot daggers at Kayden. "What are you talking about? I was clearly on a date with her you prick. Of course she's mine," with that he reached out and grabbed Bryn's arm, a little harsher than he'd meant to, but his anger was clumsily flowing into his actions. His grip lessened when he saw her wide eyes of panic and he mumbled a sorry towards her. His glare landed on Kayden again and he puffed out his chest, like most guys did. "And you-" his anger suddenly shifted over to Bryn when he realized she'd been kissing this douche just as much as he had kissed her. "I never knew you were one of those whorey girls Bryn," his voice dipped low, making the accusation sting more than it should've. Bryn's eyes instantly met the ground, her teeth clenching at the harsh words. Jackson looked back up at his threat and laughed sarcastically. "Oh, I see what's going on," he scoffed, chuckling like an idiot. "She's is a whore! That's what my parents warned me about. I never really thought Bryn of all people could be one, but it doesn't surprise me her aunt had to beg me to come down and ask her on a date. She's probably too slutty to find a real man in the first place," he flicked his cocky gaze back to Bryn. "I mean, that's what happens to orphans, they waste their life away."
Bryn was absolutely speechless. Her heart was in her toes and she instantly felt like retreating back into her shell of her mind, just like she did every other time someone referred to her as the orphan. She took a step back and bit her lip, glancing around them in worry. Then her eyes landed on Kayden, seeing his demeanor. She loved that he wanted to protect her, but she didn't need him going to jail for beating someone up. "Kayden don't," he voice was firm and demanding, but she doubted he'd listen to her. He rarely used to when they were kids, but now that he was older she was certain he was too prideful.

Kayden didn't take his eyes off the male. That happiness he had felt earlier? Yeah, that was gone completely and replaced by an even purer form of the anger he had felt before that. He was half ready to rip the guy's throat out with his bare hands. It was bad enough when his mother had said such harsh words about her, but now this guy? And right to her face? He had balls at the wrong time.
Kayden wasn't exactly the person people usually messed with. For one, his size and the fact he was kind of obsessed with the gym. And two, he never got in many fights, but when he did the other person usually ended up bruised and battered to unbelievable means - not that he didn't but people liked to talk more about the other guy since he was usually in a much worse of state. This boy wasn't always good at fighting. When he was smaller, younger, and a lot weaker he used to get in them plenty of times. He could almost recall all the times Bryn had said those exact words "Kayden, don't" but we went ahead anyway. Back then, it probably would have been a good idea to listen to her. Since it would have saved him a bunch of broken noses and black eyes. A few lost baby teeth as well. But here he goes, off to repeat history.
His body quickly bypassed Bryn in a simple side-step before moving his body back to where he could block her off. His rage wasn't even about "protecting her" exactly, he was just so disgusted by Jackson. How he could speak those words to anyone. "Watch your mouth, Jackass!" He yelled, closing the gap once again but this time actually forcefully hitting him with his chest. He was doing the same thing Jackson was, that whole puffy chest thing. It was like a fight between lions to see who's mane was bigger.

Bryn gasped as Kayden stepped in front of her. She tried getting around him, stepping to and fro. "Kayden!" she growled angrily. She had no way to stop him if he couldn't see her.
Jackson about flipped a gasket. "Really dude?" he growled and then his whole attitude changed. A dark shadow crossed over his features and he ducked his head low. In an instant, he sent a swift punch aimed for any part of Kayden's body. He assumed it was an equal fight since he had a bit of experience with MMA and was about the size as this jerk. His anger came out in puffed exhales as he danced on his toes.
Bryn yelped a tad bit as Jackson threw the first punch at her Kayden. Almost like a motherly instinct, she felt like she needed to protect him. But that would be stupid, she couldn't get in between these two. Bryn felt slightly hopeless as she backed up against the ally wall and cringed a bit.

The first blow was right into Kayden's ribs. It hurt. It definitely hurt. Gauging by the side of his dude, he could tell that he could throw a pretty good punch. They were on pretty equal standings and Kayden understood that - but he was too angry to really put that knowledge to any use. As his body huffed under the guy's hit, knocking the breath out of his lung - he swung. For anything that he could see that was near enough to his body. Right there was his head. He had ducked it low enough to where he could easily hit it if he swung in just the right spot. It wasn't long before his fist went swinging, readying himself for either contact with skin, or air.

Kayden's fist smacked right into Jackson's jaw after he block it from hitting his chest. Well, that was a fail. His body spun at the impact, but he caught his footing before he could fall. He rubbed his jaw, shaking off the pain, and continued to dance on his toes, circling Kayden. "Is that all you got?" he challenged and made the "come at me" motion with his fingers. { short posts for lyfe cuz maple is tired }

Kayden lifted an eyebrow as his eyes followed Jackson. His body remained in one spot as the guy danced around him. He shook his hand a little, it was already sore from hitting him directly bone-to-bone and his body tilted slightly to the right where the guy had punched him in the ribs. "What are you, a fucking ballerina?" He chortled, then furrowing his brow so he could better focus on the guy's movements. After the feeling started to come back into his hand - he put them up, readying himself for whatever the guy had to throw at him. Alright then. He hissed in his mind at the guy's taunts as he shifted his neck around to loosen it up. Once again, he threw another punch but this time swinging quite wide so he had a better chance of hitting any part of the Jackass's body.

Bryn jumped back as Kayden's punch smacked into Jacksons forearm, making him loose his balance and fall to his knees. Before Kayden could get any advantage on him, Jackson tried swinging out his leg to trip his opponent. {lol short post}

Kayden's body buckled under his weight once Jackson's leg hit him in that sweet spot right behind the knee that could easily bring down any opponent. He tried to use this to his advantage, though. With his body falling, he aimed it so he could land on top of the fellow. That made it so much easier to land punches right where it counted - in the face. And that's where he aimed and swung.

Jackson was thrown down under Kayden's weight and his punches collided with his cheek easily now. He couldn't escape due to his body position and He was beginning to see stars blast across his vision with each hit.
Bryn's hands flew to her mouth at the sight and she raised her voice at Kayden. "Kayden stop!" She demanded, her face going a bit pale at the blood beginning to pour from Jackson's nose and mouth.

Kayden would have continued for quite a while longer - to get his revenge on the bastard that had called Bryn anything other than beautiful. But her voice rang inside his head and caught his attention. It was like a rubber band snapped inside his head and suddenly he wasn't so focused on ripping this guy's throat out. One last punch hit him in the cheek before Kayden's body came to a halt. Every part of him tingled with adrenaline. Not an lick of pain was felt anywhere on his body - only shaking. Lots and lots of shaking. He couldn't even get himself to move off of Jackson's body for a moment as he stared at what he had done. Blood was running out of almost everywhere. He wasn't sure what to think of the situation - everything seemed too cloudy to even understand. With heavy breaths, he finally got up. Dark spots of water stained the knees of his khaki pants. Blood started to ooze from his busted knuckles and his cheek and jaw were starting to swell. Without feeling the pain, he reacted to the major punch he had gotten to his side. He couldn't help but lean a little to the right when he got to his feet. As much as he wanted to say some final words to Mr. Jackass, he couldn't get anything to come out. Just a choked "Come on, Bryn." As he grabbed her jacket and purse off the ground and handed it to her. "I-I'll take you home." Everything was moving so fast, but his body was moving so slow.

Jackson laid still, groaning slightly as blood still trickled from his wounds. He looked like a dark figure in the dimly lit alleyway and it made Bryn's heart drop to her toes. She stared at his figure with her mouth open wide in shock. This had all happened so fast and it was all her fault.
Bryn pressed her things close to her chest and her large gaze landed on Kayden. His bent figure suggested he was hurt and it just made her feel that much worse. "W-we can't just leave him here Kayden," he voice was barely above a whisper and her body shook a bit. She never believed Kayden was capable of something like that. She wasn't mad, but she honestly didn't know how to feel. Shocked is a better way to describe how she felt.

Kayden furrowed his brow - gaze steady yet his body shook. Her words made it seem like that ordeal was gone through for no reason. The idea that he should help a man he was trying to hurt was appalling, deplorable. It made him sick just thinking about it. "Yeah, we can." He replied shortly, voice a husk of his previous self. As much as Kayden wanted to leave - run away from the situation - he couldn't without the reassurance hat Bryn was going to follow him. Give him that backing that he was correct in his actions for once. That for one sliver of an instant, he wasn't just a mindless monster and that this guy was. He let harsh words flow out of his mouth and Bryn still kept her soft nature she always had. Trying to get that to make sense in a man's mind was like trying to mix oil and water - impossible. He swallowed hard and suddenly all the pain that had been subsided by his adrenaline came in in waves. His side, his face, his arms, his hands. All were ablaze with a pulse that couldn't be ignored. Color started to wash from his face as he winced towards his injured side. "We can leave him." He breathed, wrapping one of his bloody hands around his own body.

Bryn's hand shook with adrenaline as she looked over at Kayden, cowering in pain. Her heart was beating in her ears and all she could see was the blood trickling around Jackson's body. But when her blue beauties met his, she felt defeat. She knew he would never back down, or show his pride. And he'd only used self defense. A quick breath escaped her lips as she slid her arm around his waist, coiling it so she could support him. "Come on, let's go," she mumbled and began to walk as best she could in order to get him to his car. Her feet scurried past the bloody puddle of Jackson who was groaning and holding his nose, cussing up a storm. It took everything in her to not kick him as she passed, but she didn't think that would be right.
"Are you hurt really bad?" she asked with semi-gritten teeth, still leading him through the alleyway.

Even though he wrapped his arm around her body, like he was accepting her help, he wasn't trying to lean his body weight on her too much. It eased the pain enough that she cared for him - that maybe they would be that much closer now after everything. She had chosen his side for once, ignoring her need to care for everyone, and realized that not everyone deserved it. It lightened the stone in his chest, and opened up a part for his heart to make it's way out. "I'm fine." He lied, but his body didn't agree with him. As he shifted to get his keys out of his pant pockets, his side went into a roar of pain. A deep breath quickly filled his lungs and he sort of shifted to his side as it pulled him in. Something was wrong there, but he didn't want to bother it right now. He did his best to hide it, and continued to unlock his car and attempt to walk over to the drivers side door without her help. His heavy arms flopped to his side in a heap of meat, right onto the handle and pulled lazily. Luckily these doors weren't heavy or so help him god he would have fallen over.Every movement was an attempt to be soft, but he would just flop and hurt his body further. As the leather touched his body, he couldn't help but take in another deep breath into his lungs - hoping the cool air would help ease everything he was feeling.
god i don't even know what that was. i'm such sorry.
