Bryn was just about to make contact with Jackson when a familiar voice popped into her head. She thought she was imagining it, Kayden's voice, like she had a millions times before. But When Jackson froze and glanced up, his lips still puckered, her stomach squeezed in dread. Then he own blue eyes drifted over to where Kayden, of all the damn people in the world, was standing near their table.
"Kayden?" Bryn exclaimed, in utter shock. Jackson raised an eyebrow at Kayden's hand, but shook it firmly, glancing at Bryn in question.
"Oh really?" Jackson's eyebrows were up rather than down in thought. "How do you two know each other?" he asked.
Bryn was speechless; her mouth wouldn't form words. Kayden must've seen everything they were doing, or were about to do, and now he was here, crashing her date. Her shock quickly turned to anger and she shot her ex a glare. "School," she said blandly, answering Jackson's question. Jackson must've sensed the agitation in her voice and his jaw tightened.
"Is there a problem?" he challenged Kayden softly, placing his napkin softly on his lap where he'd moved it while trying to kiss Bryn.
"I think you should go Kayden," Bryn said tightly, feeling nothing more than wanting to run away from this situation. Embarrassment began to flood her cheeks.

Kayden lifted one of his dark eyebrows and placed both of his hands in his khaki pants. "There isn't a problem." He replied, a bright smile crossing his lips. It was fake. His eyes made that obvious since they were ablaze with his jealousy. Mr. Jackass was playing out to be the guy he imagined. A jackass. Hence the name. No matter what that guy said, he hated it. He could have offered him a million dollars and he still would have wanted to punch him in the face. His lips had gotten too close to Bryn, and he didn't like that. His fingers have touched her too gently, romantically. He didn't like that either.
"I just wanted to steal you away for a few minutes, if your date doesn't mind. It's something important." He remained with his polite tone, as to not startle the guy - or make it seem like there was an issue.

Bryn's eyes flared with anger, but before she could utter a word, jackson cut in. "That's fine," he smiled and made eye contact with his date. "I'll be here when you're done." He obviously didn't see the jealous in Kayden's eyes like Bryn did. She was timid about going with him; facing him would be torture after what he'd seen. Jackson had almost kissed her, right after she'd told Kayden she couldn't be with him because she was bad for him. Bryn was a hypocrite.
"O-Okay," she stuttered, getting up from her chair choppily and standing up to follow Kayden where ever he wanted to go. {sorry mine's short too^>^}

Kayden smiled. Score one for him. Maybe Mr. Jackass wasn't such a bad guy after all. That blue in his irises shifted from jealousy to a strong sense of pride. He held out his hand, like the gentlemanly type, to help her out of her seat. If he was going to take this man's girl for a little, he might as well do it in the most painful types of way. Show him up, be that asshole Kayden really was. Inside, he knew that wasn't the type of person Bryn liked. The type of person Bryn might have cared for at one point in his life but he was angry and hurt. She had painfully ripped his heart out - claiming it as her own - and now she was just sitting on it.
This was his payback.
As they turned the corner of the restaurant, he grabbed her arm and started more forcefully directing her around. Luckily the blondie he had been with was too oblivious to notice him walk directly by the table. She was too busy flirting with their waiter. Good for her, maybe she could get someone who actually liked to listen to her bullshit voice. Back to Kayden and Bryn. He directed her around and finally found a backdoor of the restaurant, the one with the gray bar instead of a handle. He crashed into it, making a little bit of a racket that startled some of the workers. Cold air hit his face immediately, and it was probably a good thing. He was fuming with anger - something needed to douse the flames going on inside his head.
"What the fuck, Bryn!" He yelled, as soon as the door closed behind the female. His brow furrowed and instead of his pride it was replaced with that raw anger he felt. That raw pain. "You're going to tell me you're not good for me and then fucking go on a date with that jackass?" His shoes stomped against the damp ground of the alleyway as he paced back and forth in his rage. "Fuck!" His hands were beginning to shake and that urge to punch something started to tingle in his arms. He attempted to hide this shaking by running his fingers through his hair several times.

Bryn wasn't expecting that much force coming from Kayden. She knew he could be mean, like mean as shit. But she didn't know now scary he could be when he acted upon it. Her body trembled forcefully as he carried her towards an unknown destination. Ever bone in her body told her to run away from him, he was too angry to reason with. All she saw were visions of his fist or hand or some part of his flying towards like a rocket and connecting with her skin. But that thought startled her more than what was actually going on. Why would she think Kayden would hurt her? He'd never intentionally done it before, and she knew he was that kind of guy. At least, he never was when they were little. Maybe she'd watched too many movies or something; she didn't know.
Her body was rigid, with fear and anger and embarrassment, as he flung her into the back alleyway of the restaurant and shouted in her face. She'd never in her life seen someone so angry. It startled her and she cowered slightly away from him, drawing into herself further and further with every harsh word he spat her way.
She guessed she deserved this. After all, she'd done exactly what he said. She was a hypocrite. And Kayden had every right to be mad.
But how could she tell him the real reason why she'd left him? Bryn couldn't just let the words flow like a free river and out into his brain. She didn't want to admit she was in love with him. Could you be in love with someone you're whole life and never realize it until one night? Just one night where eveything changed and your heart swelled with the realization that you were in love with someone.
Her bottom lip trembled, a habit it seemed like now, and she shivered in the cold. Was it really cold or was she just shivering from her emotions. Bryn also felt pretty hot, her face alive with heat. How could she say anything that would make him feel better.
Every fuck he through at her made her cringe and she stayed in the position, the wincing one, watching him pace. She'd really messed up. And it felt like she was being ripepd open like a raccoon into the heart of a nut because of her foolish actions. This was all her fault. She had to reason with him.
"Kayden, please listen," she whimpered and hugged herself tightly in the cold. Her leg hairs were dancing up like muchachas in the moonlight and the wind swirled under her dress, making her teeth chatter slightly. She had to explain.

That was it, he had enough of all this bullshit. As soon as he heard her voice his feet stopped cold. His eyes turned towards her, looking through the small triangle his arm made while he had his fingers tangled into his hair. They were just as wild and crazy as you would imagine a heartbroken and angry teen would have. Of course, his want and need to punch something wasn't directed towards Bryn - it never was. He would never be so violent towards a female, no matter how irritating or hypocritical she was. Sure, he had been angry and showed that as he dragged her through the restaurant, but he had no intention of physically hurting her. You couldn't tell that with the way his body moved.
"Save your bullshit, Bryn." He hissed, his voice words sharp and pointed. "Save the fucking hypocritical bullshit!" He knew his voice was probably a little too loud, but he didn't care. He didn't give a shit. If someone had walked through that back door, he would hit them no matter what size or shape they were - he decided suddenly. He dropped his arm to his side and quickly closed some the the space between them. His focus wasn't on how Bryn was feeling, how she acted. This was for selfish matters. This was about him. "You fucking told me you weren't good for me." At this point he was tapping his chest with his pointer finger as hard as he could. "You told that to my face! And then you go around on dates with other guys? What the hell!" He paused and dropped his arm to his side. "Not to mention that you almost kissed that prick. Are you sure you didn't mean that I was no good for you?" He let out a sour laugh. "That's it isn't it? And you honestly think a little jackass like that would be better than me? Me?" He knew he was rambling, but he couldn't help it. It was just pouring out and it felt so good to let his anger loose - to raise his voice and show her just how angry and hurt he was.

Bryn couldn't do much more than turn her face away from him, letting his harsh words batter against her cheek. Her lips trembled along with her body and her pain seared into her body like a heat knife. She couldn't do this. Unlike any other situation, where she would stand her ground to the end, she couldn't do this. Not with Kayden. Not with him screaming at her for her mistakes and cussing her brains out. Just three steps and she'd be out of there - to run away to safe Jackson who would make her feel better. But...she realized she didn't want safety. She wanted adventure and love and heated romantic things between her and another soul. And she knew as long as she lived, no one could ever bring her that like Kayden could. And that's why she was in love with him. He was crazy and selfish and loud and intimidating. But he was loving and caring and she knew the only reason why he was shouting like this was because he was hurt. Bryn had hurt him, just like he'd hurt her so many times. Did it make her feel good? Like she had gotten her revenge? No, it was just the opposite. It made her feel like falling apart. Which is technically what was about to happen. No more. She couldn't hide it anymore. "Kayden I'm in love with you!" she screamed, her voice echoing off of the walls of the alleyway and back into her ears like the inside of a cave. She shocked herself, having let that out. She'd lost her control over her thoughts. But now there was no stopping them. "And I've loved you ever since the first day you kissed me or when you broke your arm or when I killed that fucking bird in sixth grade and you held me while I cried!" she was stills hooting. She thought she must've looked wild; hair frazzled, eyes crazed. But she didn't care. The truth had already slipped. "And when I found out you didn't love me it shattered any," her flung her arms around her, dropping her purse. "dreams I had of us. And then I realized, the entire time the last night we were together, I was the one the attention was on. Me. Not you. You're the one I loved and yet I used you to heal my pain. And that isn't right Kayden. Goddamn it!" she threw her coat down on the ground and shook violently. Her anger was too overwhelming for her body but she didn't stop. She quoted his mother (not direct quote but oh well), "'The Orphan isn't good for you Kayden'. Your mother was right. I am the epitome of a ruined life and you think I should stay with you so I can just drag you along to ruin yours?" she was shouting so much and loosing breath quickly. "Well damn you and damn the world because I'd rather die," she said through gritted teeth, "then see you get brought down by my own pitiful fucking life." Her eyes lolled a bit in her head, dizziness creeping in quickly. She'd gotten herself so worked up that her legs gave out and she had to fall to the ground a bit. She caught herself and then breathed, whimperingly, out into the cold night air.
{you're welcome}

Kayden's anger was pushed far down into the pit of his stomach, so deep from Bryn's words that it started to make him feel sick. With wide eyes - so wide you could see white surrounding every point of blue in his iris - he stared at Bryn as nausea crept up. It was like a slap to the face. Not just the shock, but the fact that she never told him these words earlier. His mind immediately went to shit. It was blank as a whiteboard in summer. He couldn't even think of any words. Nothing. That square jaw of his just flopped open and his body relaxed. Those arms of his that had been flexed as hard as a rock went lip by his sides. His body was still in the small puddle of run off water from an old rusty pipe in the alleyway. That would have been how he stayed for the next few days had be not seen Bryn's body go limp.
He immediately went into action as soon as it happened. Her body fell and he went zooming over to her side. The motions he made - they weren't angry and violent anymore. They were more soft and caring. He was still in pain, but it was different now. It had been cushioned by her words if not completely turned around. He felt bad for yelling at her. Regret washed over him in waves equal to that of a tsunami. If only he had given her a chance to speak.
"Baby." The nickname just sort of slipped out of his mouth since he wasn't really thinking - but he definitely didn't want to take it back. "You are the best thing that ever happened to me." He paused and gently grabbed her arm and hand and tried to help her up. "There is no way in hell that you could ever bring me down." Once she was back on her feet - pause. What a metaphor this was. It explained perfectly how Bryn could never bring Kayden down. He wanted to help her back up. Help her be that joyful person she was before all the bullshit, death, and lies filed their life. She had brought so much joy into every person she passed, like a little sun. No matter how dark things were around her, she could brighten up a room in an instant. But now that star was dying and he would do anything to get it back to it's previous shine.
Play. -
Once she was back on her feet, Kayden didn't let go. He wrapped his arms around her body and made sure he kept her close. His eyes tiled down to her height and kept a strong yet loving gaze on her. "You're the only light in my life." He murmured, tilting her chin up so she would hopefully focus on him as he spoke such important words. It made him nervous, that was why he let such a long time of silence pass before he found the bravery inside. "and I love you so much. I always have." Even with her messy hair, her emotion stricken feature - he still wanted her. Oh man did he want her. In this moment, it was the most he had ever wanted a single person in his entire life. Desire was a strange thing - it came at strange times.

Bryn refused to cry so she just gritted her teeth and stuck it out for most of the time. But when Kayden forced her to look at him, using the same move she'd used so tenderly with him, it made a few tears slip from her eyes without consent and down onto her cheeks. Her big blue eyes gazed up at him, wide with emotion and glazed tearily. Every change in his demenour was noticed and her heart swelled at his words. She brought her shaky hand up to his face, her own tilted ever so slightly, and she cupped the side of it.
"God Kayden you don't know how long I've waited to hear you say that," she breathed, her gaze trailing down to his lips. She bit her own, hard, so hard that she thought she mgiht've tasted blood. But she didn't care. Her love for him was pouring out through just her eyes as they made contact with his and it made everything seem more beautiful. "I've waited so, long," she shook her head, making another tear escape from her eye. {so dramatic I'm sorrY}

A small breath escaped through Kayden's nose as his chest swelled. His heart seemed to grow and all the love he felt almost started to be painful. It was like a gravitational pull that wanted him to get closer to Bryn - and he was pulling away from it. He wouldn't last for much longer. That was easily understood.
"I wish i would have said it sooner." He said, with a light chuckle as his finger traced her cheek - catching one of the tears that was making it's way down her reddened cheek. The smile on his face only lasted for a second before he got lost in her eyes. His light blue eyes switched back and forth between hers matching in color. He tried to catch every single tear that threatened to fall out of her eyes, not wanting her to cry anymore. He was done with the hurt, done with continuing the pain between them too. All he wanted was to build the relationship he always wanted between each other. To get that wall, one brick high, to unbelievable levels of trust. Where they could sit on the roof, staring at the stars like they used to and make stupid jokes. Talk about their obsessions or anything else that came to mind. Not everything would be easy, but it would be happy. His life might actually be able to make a turn for the better, now that Bryn had a chance to be in his future.
He couldn't help as his eyes trailed down to her lips. They looked almost like they had been so long ago, but now more plump and adult. He couldn't help but think about the way they tasted - the way they moved. When they were kids, and they shared a kiss. It was more to follow what the adults would do. It had meaning, but not in the way they thought. It was awkward, but they didn't care. Kayden wondered how different she would be now. If it would sweep him off his feet like she always did.
With his hand resting on her cheek still, he paused and took in a small breath between parted lips. Yolo. That's the perfect motto for this situation. His face gently neared hers, to the point where he could feel her breath, her warmth on his own lips. Soon they were planted on hers, easily molding to the shape he had so permanently etched into his brain. Immediate fireworks soared all across his body.

Bryn trembled slightly when his lips made contact with hers because it was like an explosion of wonderful feeling she hadn't felt in so long. In fact, it was more than just what she'd experienced before. Her body was experiencing many feelings she'd never experienced and she wasn't sure why it was happening. Maybe it was because Kayden was older, bigger. Maybe it was because she loved him. Yeah. That was it. She was in love with this boy and that was why the kiss felt like beautiful fire in her veins. Goosebumps erupted on her skin as the fire began to spread. But she wasn't weak, remember? She had spunk. Especially when she got her way; and of all people Kayden knew that. She deepened the kiss, almost immediately gripping his neck and pulling him down towards her so that they were closer. Her lips caressed his roughly, pulling them towards her. It was all her want taking over, but she didn't care.

Kayden followed suit - reacting to her every move with ease. It surprised him just how different this was, kissing someone with the intent of love and not lust. You could follow everything, and know what they were going to do. Their lips molded together in a way the word beauty couldn't begin to describe. He had been shocked by Bryn's sudden change in demeanor. Her forcefull pull almost made him lose it, at the same time it made him lose his footing. He sort of stumbled forward, towards the brick wall of the restaurant they had just been in. Using those large arms of his, he caught both of them before they went crashing into it. The cool brick felt good against his warming body, and his hand gripping the back fabric of her dress felt ever so right. He couldn't help himself - it had been so long since he felt like this. He pressed his body up against hers until her back was fully against the wall. He was very careful with his movements as he broke the kiss and began to trail his lips from her cheek, to her ear, and finally to her neck. Let's just say he was a guy, and he was finally getting that moment where he could be with the one he loved - so he was enjoying it and taking this chance to push things further than he might have had the circumstances been a little different. His hands were light, but curious as they ran across her hips. That one arm stayed against the cold brick to keep himself up, so his other hand was just a lone wanderer.
(it would be so awkward if Mr. Jackass came out >-> *le maybe hint if you wanna do that )

[ maybe -smirks- ]
Bryn's grip on the back of Kayden's neck grew tighter as he backed her up into the brick wall. Her hair tangled at the back of her skull but she barely noticed as it was tugged. Her eyes fluttered at the sensation of their connecting; she loved being so close to Kayden. She loved how her fingers ran through his hair so smoothly and how his body radiated warm heat along with hers. She loved how his stomach muscles felt against her abdomen. But most all, of all things, she loved that he kissed her neck. Bryn about melted onto the concrete into a puddle at their feet. The sensation of his lips right below her lobe made her weak in the knees and she pressed her hands ontop of his shoulders, climbing up as she groaned over his lips on her vein.
Jackson had been sitting for way too long. He started to get suspicious so he got up to go investigate where his date had gone.

Hearing Bryn's reaction made Kayden giddy with excitement. Like a little boy opening his gifts on Christmas - except Bryn was the gift and boy did he want to unwrap it. His body was tingling absolutely everywhere and he could feel the beginnings of being lightheaded. Everything she was doing was driving him absolutely bonkers. He had to removed his lips from her body to catch his breath. It was hard but steady as it made it's way through his slightly parted lips. Kayden had to remind himself that they were in no place to do what he was imagining inside his head. That moment of him catching his breath was just enough to calm himself down. He didn't want things to get too heated, they were in an alleyway after all - ace place for romance for sure. Once again, his lips gently touched the side of her neck but this time he bit some of her skin playfully - and he couldn't help the grin that followed. "God I love you" He breathed, moving his hands so they were both placed on her lower back, gently trailing downwards. "and how insane you drive me. Like, you don't even know."
He picked his head up so he could look her in the eyes, the happiness that showed on his mouth finally was able to trail up to his eyes. And what an amazing feeling that was - to be truly happy.

He ain't gon be happy for long xD ]
Bryn touched his chest with a shaking hand, not from fear, but from the adrenaline pumping through her body. Her breath was ragged and quick. She couldn't believe what had just happened and happiness pulsed through her like her endorphins.
Until she heard the deep, menacing voice of Jackson growl, "What the fuck?"
He'd come around the of the restraint and traveled down the alley when he heard voices. And then he'd seen his date making out with that jackass who'd taken her away. His blood boiled with fury as he stomp towards them, his face red and his teeth clenched. "You get the fuck away from my date!" He growled and shoved Kayden off of Bryn.
Bryn instantly grabbed his arm. "Jackson! Stop!"
"This fucking prick took you from me, I'm not backing down," he shoved her away as well, making her stumbled back into the brick wall and barely catch herself. Jackson seethed and circled Kayden, yelling taunting things at him.
