And so they did. They got coffee and there was zero emotional crap or baggage involved. And it was honestly kind of amazing. They weren't making out and they weren't spewing their guts about things they didn't want to say. Juliet had never had anything like that. There was no way to define what they even were at this point, and Juliet didn't want to. They were way to messed up for normal labels. Juliet had let him take the lead on this. It was uncomfortable, even that small but of trust. But in a way, she deserved it, for all those times she'd taken the upper hand in their physical interactions. So they were in a coffee shop she'd never been to way on the outskirts of the other side of town. The strangest part? She hadn't heard a single whisper. Clearly these people all lived under rocks, but Juliet didn't mind. At this moment the dirty blonde haired girl was returning to the table, but slowly. She had excused herself a few minutes prior to use the restroom, but really, she just wanted a second. Now, she stepped back over to their rickety corner table, without hurry, she found the small urge to watch him, the dark maned young man was really something else. She'd never really noticed before, he was attractive. Of course. Juliet had intimate knowledge in that regard. But he....he was unusual. Suddenly her considering was interrupted. Kit's phone buzzed and lit up on the table, Juliet moved closer more quickly till she stood at the table, waiting to see what kit did.

Kit felt almost relaxed. Nothing personal had come up, the conversation just threads of ideas, simple meaningless whispers that drifted away. The world felt fuzzy around him, only Juliet quite clear. No one else really mattered. The coffee was hot and roasted to perfection, the place was warm and kept out the chill from the wintery outside. The sky was growing dark, early like it did this time of year. He reached out to finish off his cup of coffee when his phone buzzed. He glanced at the number, but didn't recognize it, so he picked it up with a questioning hello. "Kit, oh thank god." A breathless female voice said from the other line. "Dakota?" He glanced up to see Juliet. "Yeah, it's me. Sorry, I got in trouble." Kit sighed, leaning his elbow on the table and scrubbing a hand over his face. "What now, Kota?" His voice was low. "Ah, soliciting again." Kit sighed. "Can you just come bail me out?" Her voice was thin and shaky, and Kit closed his eyes. "Fine." And he hung up. "God damn it." Kit muttered and looked up at Juliet. "Sorry, I have to go bail my sister out of jail. Again." He stood from his chair, pulling his jacket up off the chair. "You can come if you'd like." He figured she'd have to, since he drove them here. Or he could drop her off, but right now he couldn't stop thinking about Dakota. He wondered if she'd called Richard, or Vio, or even worse. Their father. He didn't want to think about, so Kit just glanced back to Juliet, the look in his eyes saying this wasn't the first time.

He answered it quickly, but for the first few moments his expression betrayed nothing of his reaction. Dakota was on the other end. The name sounded vaguely familiar to the dirty blonde haired girl. One of his many half siblings most likely. Juliet made no move to sit down, she just stood there sky blue eyes intent and curious. Kit looked exhausted. As though a few more words of this conversation would drain him completely. The mixture of frustration and worry was now clear in his burning dark gaze. Kit's voice was low. But in a different way from when he spoke to her. This was soon followed by anger-but not the pure and rash variety the bastard had exhibited in detention. Part of him almost seemed a little angry with himself. When he finally hung up kit looked as if there was no life left in him. But soon the fire returned to his dark eyes as he looked across at Juliet once more. His words surprised the girl. But then again they'd just gotten coffee for the first time ever. Of course the logical progression for two people as messed up as them was to go bail someone out of jail. Juliet slowly opened her mouth to reply but the look in kit's eyes gave her pause. Now wasn't the time. So she nodded and quickly pushed in her empty chair and grabbed her thin heather colored jacket. Shrugging it on in one small motion Juliet stepped over to him. The look in his dark eyes worried her because, as Juliet was slowly realizing, she didn't like when kit was upset. It bothered her. With the table taken care of and the coffee paid for, Juliet quietly slipped her hand into his, softly, her touch gently as she wrapped her thin pale fingers in his, and led them back out to the car, ready to see exactly what they were headed for.

Kit barely registered Juliet's hand in his own until he went to grab his keys, only to realize her fingers had laced through his own, and that the keys were in his opposite pocket. They walked out of the coffee shop, not quite friends, but not strangers either. They had met at a crossroads, one where they had collided in a violent storm that had now calmed as a bigger hurricane rushed towards them. Once outside the coffee shop, the dusk cast an odd kind of gray orange glow upon the snow and night. The wind blew up the soft, powdery layer of snow, and the streetlamps cast an illusion of warmth. It felt eerie, completely silent on this abandoned edge of town, and the only sound was the whisper of boots against the fresh ivory silk. Too soon they reached Kit's black jeep and Kit unwound their fingers and hurried over to his door to unlock the vehicle. He started the engine, his thoughts completely blank. Kit just looked odd, like he was off in a different place. He flipped on the heat and pulled out of the parking lot. He didn't ask for directions, and the route seemed familiar, his eyes glued to the road. Eventually the police station came into view and he pulled in, still quiet and dark. He seemed to be brooding, and he paused as he cut the engine. "Shit." The first word he'd said in their entire drive as he noticed a sleek, pale white Mercedes. Sean Belaqua's car. He closed his eyes, and sighed. "Let's get this over with." He grumbled, opening the car door and sliding reluctantly out into the cold air. He walked around the front grill, waiting for Juliet. The moment she joined him, his fingers found hers and interlocked them. He slowly made his way inside the bright and overly warm station. Immediately, his eyes were drawn to the huddle of tall, well-dressed people. In the center of them was a sleek, rather ruffled looking girl. Her hair was dark, shiny, and a deep red-brown, her green eyes ringed with eyeliner that had smudged a bit, making her look like a raccoon. Next to her, a smaller, much younger version of her stood in a dark green peacoat, and a deep purple dress with elegant brown shoes. Her hair was lighter, and much less auburn. She must look like their mother, for she did not resemble the older man, the younger male, or the ruffled girl. It fell in soft waves around her face, and her deep, soulful green eyes were dark and gentle, doe-like. The only other male was tall and well-groomed, with a trimmed dark scruff around his cheeks and chin, his eyes a luminous ice-blue, and his curly hair a deep auburn color. He was honestly quite beautiful, and the moment he saw Kit, he smiled softly and dipped his head. Finally, the older man had light brown hair, and the same green eyes both of his daughters mirrored. He was talking intently with the officer behind the counter and didn't see Kit yet. He was frozen, and squeezed Juliet's hand before moving slowly. The ruffled, taller girl looked up and managed a little smile as she moved slowly towards him, and she moved away from her younger sister's guiding hand. Kit was forced to let go of Juliet's hand as she pulled him into a hug. "Thanks for coming." she whispered and he nodded. "Of course, Dakota." He murmured. She pulled back, rubbing her face and finally seemed to notice Juliet. "Who is this?" She asked, her head tilting. Kit opened his mouth to say something when he noticed Richard and Violet were coming over to, both of them staring at Juliet. Only a matter of time until their father came over.

But this next bit is gonna be slightly hilarious in a super dark way. Juliet and the family.
What do you think all of their impressions of her are gonna be anyway?

ooooh I love super dark humor<33 Oh Jules<3 Hmm. I think Violet will be a little way of her, since she's the perfect little virgin princess. Dakota will probably love her, since she's the closest with Kit and definitely pretty badass. I think Richard would probably like her, but I doubt they'd really connect. And oh god, Sean, hmm, let's wait and see on that one.

Her and Sean though...like she's not gonna be afraid of him just think he's a pompous asshole
Her and Dakota will be fun. And Jules and Richard....yeah I don't know
