Rose once again couldn't help but join in with his 'obnoxious' laugh, finding his laughter simply contagious. "Pasha?" she questioned, leaning forward slightly to get a better look at the picture on his phone. It was then that her pink lips curled into a full blown Rose smile, the effect rather stunning. But it wasn't because of his friend on the screen, though she couldn't deny he was handsome, but instead because of the silly grin on Sasha's face. "Why don't you smile like that more often?" she teased before asking one of the many questions swirling in her head caused by the photo. "That's in Russia, right? And your friend still lives there?" if the answer was yes, she wondered if he would ever come to the states and visit Sasha as it seemed it was someone he missed a lot.
She looked away from the phone and glanced up as Sasha stood to his full height, placing her smaller hand in his as he helped her up, a gentle smile on her face. With her shorter size, she only came up to about his chest. "Ok.. do you live far from here?"

Sasha flushed a bit, smiling slightly. He never smiled like that. Not since the accident. It fact, only Pasha could make him smile like that, so free and wild. Now, and before Pasha, he was quiet and reserved. Almost painfully shy. But he shook all the thoughts away. "Not very far away at all." He said guiding her up the path into the country not far from his home.
It was an old stormy gray Victorian, odd for the South. As he led her up the stairs and unlocked the house he said, "sorry its kind of sparse. Still moving and all, I'll just be a second." He said, entering the house and walking into the kitchen to grab his wallet, keys, and phone. He set down his bag with his book and bag.
In the foyer it was slightly dim from the curtains over the windows and lacked a ton of sentimentals or knick knacks. Except for a photo of a considerably young Sasha, Pasha, and a pretty blonde girl with sparkling brown eyes all lounging on the couch, smiling into the camera. Sasha's reserved smile was set in place along with Pasha's mysterious one. The girl however was stunningly pretty and delicate, yet her big Grin was familiar. A woman was leaning on the couch with the same reserved smile, dark eyes, and honey hair as Sasha, and looked to be about thirty.

Rose followed Sasha up to his house, letting him guide her. She wasn't quite sure what to expect and when they got there, the old Victorian had definitely not been it. She nearly stopped at the entrance to take in the large house, but the thought of embarrassing herself, or even Sasha, kept her moving forward and into the house. "No. It's ok. You have a really nice house." She complimented with a slight smile as he walked into the kitchen to get his stuff.
Left to her own devices she began walking around the foyer a bit, though never strayed from the entrance too much. It really was a lovely house, spacious and nice with all the windows even though they were currently hidden by curtains. It reminded her slightly of her own. Not the one she lived in now of course, she only lived in an apartment that she shared with a roommate, but the one she had lived in as a child. Speaking of childhood, the only real personal belonging that seemed to stand out in the room was a photo.
Walking over, Rose picked up the picture from where it sat. There was Pasha again, they must have been friends for a long time. And two other girls, maybe a mother and sister or cousin?

Sasha shoved his things quickly into his pockets before heading back out into the foyer, pausing to see her take in the picture. He remembered that day. He'd been barely fifteen, Pasha seventeen, and Maria was hardly thirteen. He remembered it was one of the first times Pasha came over to the Siyan house. He remembered Maria gushing over how pretty Pasha was and how she was going to marry him. Now, she never would. He sighed gently, coming up to her. "Oh, found the old family photo," he said, trying to tease her, but his voice fell a little flat.
[ sorry this is so horrible Dx ]

It's ok lol I'm surprised that my last one was even that long cause I didn't think it would be But I wrote it throughout the whole day whenever I had a chance in school so that' probably why... Besides it's not even bad! - - -
Rose had been so intrigued by the photo that when Sasha suddenly spoke up she jumped a bit and let out a soft squeak of surprise. "Don't sneak up on me like that." she said lightly, feeling a bit embarrassed as she felt her cheeks heat up. She glanced down at the photo before putting it back where it belonged, "Um, yea..." his tone didn't escape her, "I did it again didn't I?" the words came out apologetically, her brows coming together as she frowned.

Sasha chuckled a bit when she jumped. It was cute, her cheeks staining a light rosy color. It suited her, making her skin glow and eyes sparkle as they lingered on his. "Did what?" Sasha asked, feeling a bit confused. She had her brows knit together and a look of anxiety on her face as well as embarrassment. He glanced at the picture, feeling his heart jump a bit from looking at it. It was such a pretty picture. Probably taken by his father, just before he was deployed. He frowned slightly, then glanced back to her, waiting.

Rose gave a small shrug of her shoulders "Reminded you of something that makes you sad.. or I don't know." she said, raising her eyes to meet his in question. She could've been wrong, but she was getting pretty used to his different facial expressions and the way he spoke about things. At least that's what she thought. She glanced back down at the picture, pointing out the little blonde girl "Is she your sister? .. and that's your mom?" her eyes shifted from child to adult, then back up to Sasha, comparing the similarities as she waited for his reply.

Sasha shook his head, faking a smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "No, it's fine," he said, brushing off her apology. Everyone had sadness in their lives. He nodded slowly, thinking of the girl in the photo. "Yeah, her name was Maria. I didn't look much like her though," he said, smiling a little, chuckling. Maria had been so bright, passionate, so outgoing. She had looked so much like their father, with the big blue eyes and silky blond hair. He didn't even realize that he was speaking and thinking of her in past tense. Meaning, she probably wasn't living. His eyes shifted to his mother. She had been quite beautiful with silky honey brown hair in soft waves around her elegant face, her dimples in the same place as Sasha's when she smiled and her deep chocolate eyes staring deep into someone's soul, seeing everything. He gently ran his fingers over the frame. "Your right, she was my mom." He smiled slightly, glancing away from the picture.

Rose caught the way he talked about his sister in the past tense and her breath caught in her throat. A dozen questions arose in her mind, something that seemed to happen quite often, but she was able to restrain herself, biting the inside of her cheek. "That one smile of yours is similar to hers in the picture" she said, a soft smile on her face as she thought of Sasha's wild smile that he'd shown her in the picture with Pasha. What could've happened to Maria? And it seemed he spoke about his mother in the past tense too. She brushed a hand through her hair, tucking a golden lock behind her ear. "You look like your mom." she said thoughtfully, titling her head to the side slightly. "They're both very pretty." her eyes had focused on the photo again, before lifting to watch Sasha. She wondered if it all had to do with the fire.
