Sirius felt like he was going in and out of consciousness. For the first time in his entire life he wanted it to end. His body was reacting in the way any human should. Body shaking, tears of pain leaking out from his eyes. He could barely move without fire rolling through his body. He had tried to be strong. Tried not to scream, but his body burned. Every time the hot poker touched his skin he couldn't help but scream. He probably wouldn't recognize himself. Body covered in bruises and blood and burns. His face was bruised, eye black, and blood leaking from his nose and mouth. He barely recognized that Sabrina was here and then she was kissing him. She sounded broken, mentally. Her voice was so raw it hurt even more. He pulled back slightly, voice rough and broken, shaking. "Help me, Bri, it hurts," he whimpered, feeling like he was going to pass out. He was whimpering horribly, sounding like a beaten puppy. His eyes were on the floor, and he was rocking slightly into her. They'd bested him, for now. He wasn't strong anymore.

Had Monroe and her father been around, Sabrina would be more than ready to kill them. Up close and seeing the extent of his wounds Sabrina was terrified. They'd taken her gorgeous fearless wolf and reduced him to a quivering and bloody mess. Swallowing hard, Sabrina forced back tears. No way was she going to cry when he was next to her looking like this. Now she knew exactly what had elicited the screams Sabrina heard in her room. No one deserved that much pain, especially her Sirius. Pulling back from the kiss, Sabrina put a gentle hand to his cheek and shook heard head, the tears fighting to come to her eyes once again. Neither of them was feeling all that strong at the moment. Hearing him speak Sabrina nodded " shhh shh it's okay. I'm gonna make it better. I promise" she assured him quietly. Sabrina saw how close he looked to being unconscious and fully finished. That wwasn't happening on her watch. " okay I'll figure this out. But you need to be strong for me, don't let them win. I know how much better than this you are Sirius. Just hang on" she insisted, her voice stronger than before as she looked at him. With that Sabrina grabbed a bottle of rubbing alchohol and bandages and set to work. " hold on to me, it's gonna hurt" she warned before starting to clean the wounds.

Sirius listened to her words. He had to be strong. But it hadn't just been the actual torture. His mind was bruised. Monroe, the sick, twisted bastard he was, threatened to use the hot iron. Threaten to hit him. Driven him to insanity so that Sirius didn't know when pain would come, just that eventually it would. He didn't scream this time when she cleaned his wounds on his arms and face and body. He wasn't that bad. He just felt the blood being wiped from his face. He didn't say anything, just let the silent tears slid down his face. It was from pain. He didn't have any dignity left, that had been destroyed the minute he let himself begin screaming. He looked up at Sabrina, the pain easing a bit. "Seems like you always have to save me," he got out, his breath coming in short gasps and he would squeeze his eyes shut, trying not to cry out or whimper anymore.

Sabrina wanted to kill them for doing this, yes she'd always hated her father and Monroe for their beliefs. But this went further than this, because they'd broken the man she cared so deeply before. It hurt Sabrina to see the look in his eyes, like every shred of pride and dignity had been wiped away. Andthat wasn't the worst, not when you added that to the horrors all over his chest, his back, his stomach, that she was trying to fix. Mercifully Sirius had gone silent. If her touch had made him scream or whimper Sabrina wasn't sure if she could've continued. Swallowing hard she finished what she could, the rest was more than basic medical supplies could handle. He needed better medical attention than Sabrina could do, and it made her feel terrible, how little she could do for him. After he'd done so much for her. Hearing his words brought a small sad smile to Sabrina's delicate face. " you saved me first, I just have to keep repaying you." She murmured " and besides if my family and I were out of your life you wouldn't be here" the guilt was clear on her face, even if itwasn't entirely her fault.

Alyssa was extremely nervous, hopefully her face wasnt showing it but the last time she'd been anywhere with Ryan that they'd planned was the park, by the pond they'd had their first date picnic at. That was the day Ryan had ended things, that was the day five years ago Alyssa had had her heart broken. The one and only time. After Ryan she'd been confused about what she wanted so she ran away to Oxford, literally put an ocean between her and any reminders. High had been great for a while, getting lost in London. Hot guys with accents. Great friends. But every once in a while she found herself wondering what Ryan was doing right that very moment. And now she knew-he was standing in front of her five years later when she was committed to another man. W she loved. Or had before Ryan popped up. Now she was thinking about old times. Like they were back in that tiny town where nothing mattered but them. He'd been her rock and her his. Ryan's dad had been terrible. Thankfully he got away, usually he spent days at Alyssa's house. Her parents were usually extremely busy with work and they had it to themselves, though they were only seventeen it gave her ideas about the future. In high school they basically had a house and dealt with everything so naturally they'd get married at some point after college settled down and live their lives. Only all of that never happened. Now here she was and they were back together. Fate was some seriously twisted little lady for putting this in front of her. And now of all times. She looked up to see him fidgeting slightly hand in his pocket then the nickname was back again. God that felt weird. He was the my person to ever call her that specific nickname. These days it was lyssa or the future mrs. Jason Kennedy when her friends were making fun of her. But Alyss...that was just Ryan. Ryan when he needed her to bandage something. Ryan when he was teasing her. Ryan when he needed advice. Ryan when he kissed her and completely electrified her.clearing her throat Alyssa pushed back everything rushing to the surface. And with a smile she couldn't help nodded " sure thing" she agreed and followed his lead into yet another unknown. in case you want it

R y a n - C a l l a h a n
Ryan felt a little bit of his fears melt away. He'd been nervous she wouldn't show, that he would get a call saying he was fired from the biggest event, because the bride hated him. It wasn't like he wouldn't mind being fired, it just wouldn't be ideal. He found her nickname roll off his tongue. And when she smiled, electric butterflies flew into his stomach. He smiled slightly, walking over to the door of the café and holding it open for her, like a perfect gentleman.
Despite the fact he was sure she wouldn't run away, or she wouldn't be hostile, he still walked on egg shells. Five years was a long time. He'd done stupid shit, been lonely, and gotten so drunk off his ass he didn't remember the last night. But he'd turned out pretty good. He wasn't as much of a big, goofy kid. He had had fun in college, playing hockey and opened up to a couple of friends, and gotten really into photography.
But, the thing was, he knew he'd changed quite a bit, but Alyss? Who knew who she was now. She was five years older, about to become a trophy wife. He knew how heartbreak could change someone. He knew from the look in her eyes five years ago, to his third year in college. He was just a real big fucking heartbreaker. He just hoped that old flame didn't come into the picture.
Oh jesus was he wrong. [ I have something kind of shocking planned for the catching up bit xD ]
So, anyway, he walked in after Alyss into the small coffee shop. A young, pretty hostess led them back to a corner booth, and handed them two small menus with mostly just special coffees and teas and some cute pastries. "So, Alyss, how've you been?" He asked to break the ice, smiling over the table at her. In the dim light, his eyes looked darker, more glimmering, and his lips curved into a small smile. His hand scratched at his jaw, feeling the slight stubble. He looked good, on the outside. Much like her, he hoped.
