alyssa was staring to get jittery she didn't even want to meet this guy-she was going to be late for her final dress fitting and her review of the floral arrangements. With the help of an unlimited budget Alyssa had planned this all by herself-.her fiancé's connections didn't hurt when getting things done. That being said Alyssa never forgot where she was from, a small town and she just got a few lucky breaks, with her fair share of pain of course. Mostly Ryan. Soon a smartly dressed waiter came by to inform her that her guest had arrived. Soon she saw a young man approaching he hid himself slight and looked at the floor. He looked attractive and bore a passing resemblance to someone she could recall. Sitting up and fixing her blonde locks Alyssa waited for him to sit down. She was a bit curious but her mind was only half invested in the present, the other part was going over seating or invitation lists. Singing softly to herself Alyssa forced herself to take a deep breath and refocus on the moment.
Truthfully it wasnt just the wedding on her mind, Ryan was too. Today was the day after he'd broken up with her roughly five years ago. She'd never had a good day on that day. When he'd broken her heart Alyssa spent a weak in her room barely taking food. But then she knocked some sense into herself and got up and went to Oxford now here she was. About to be Alyssa Jade Kennedy.suddenly they were face to face and Alyssa froze her heart stopping and in front of a crowded restaurant she cursed " what the hell! Ryan what the hell are you doing here? Are you out of your fucking mind!" She exclaimed then realizing the attention she was attracting, lowered her voice to a whisper and looked at him- a mix of chaos in her green gaze, " what are you doing here!"

[ I know. ]
Ryan took a moment to compose himself. He heard her words, sharp and venomous, like poison. He took a deep breath and looked up to her. Everything came crashing back. He had been the "bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks." All darkness and masculinity. Yet, Alyssa Jade Wright saw past all of that and found a vulnerability in those piercing blue eyes. Ryan Callahan was the untamable and wild as a stallion yet Alyssa had broken him and slicked him down to the very core.
As if the one gesture could mean anything, or nothing, it wasnt up to Alyssa to decide. Ryan lifted the expensive looking, beautiful black camera with the smooth reflective glass lens that seemed to wink at Alyssa. "I'm here to be your photographer for your big fucking day." His voice wasn't silky smooth or like rich velvet on a river of honey. Instead it was a cruel sound, like knives shredding a lump of meat. It was harsh and almost like an awful sneer. A mockery and contempt colored the cold, flat tone. His eyes blazed, a mix of blue fire. They had never been anything, but starting and brilliant, yet today they held a hint of pain.

They were in a cafe and she hadnt moved and yet the way her heart hammered inside her chest it felt like Alyssa had just run a ten mile marathon, this wasnt some twisted nightmare, Ryan was here in front of her and she had just cussed him out in front of everyone. They'd been unlikely from the start. Alyssa had always been outgoing fairly popular just a good girl and Ryan had been the guy everyone didn't look at. He was different people were afraid to try him, she hadnt been and then Alyssa had gone and fallen in love. Biggest mistake ever. He changed her. Swallowing hard Alyssa tried to calm down, she was stuck on so many things. Wanted to slap him, touch him, yell, tell him how terrible him leaving had been. Bit Alyssa didn't do any of that, instead the emerald eyed girl smoothed her jacket down and looked at him across the table registering the camera-her photographer. The universe was a stupid jerk for doing this to her and fate some twisted mean girl. Hearing the venom in his tone and the mix of pain and hate in his eyes almost made Alyssa flinch but she steeled herself. " well it's lovely to see you Ryan but you don't get to be angry, you broke my heart, I never left you. Did you expect me to never live my own life. Meet some amazing guy that actually wanted me for the long run? Enough to marry me?" She asked that last bit extending her delicate hand where a huge diamond ring sparkler and a gorgeous ring it was- it's glint almost mocking Ryan.

Ryan didn't say anything, just tried to swallow past the lump in his throat. He'd left her so she could have THIS life. The one she was living. He winced at her words. They were untrue. He had wanted her to live her life, just without him anywhere near to see the picture. He had wanted to marry her. He'd had a ring. Yes, he did. It wasnt as sparkly or expensive or flashy, but it had been his mother's. A simple gold band with a graceful oval shaped diamond, small and precious. Much like Alyssa. This was too gauty for her, for the Alyss he knew. It hurt. Deep in his chest it throbbed. He sighed, clearing his face. He wanted to take it all back. Marry this girl and love her every day. Now she would curl in the arms of another jackass man. He had money and support and a job. Ryan tried to convince himself of this, but it still hurt. He wanted to choke on it all and drop dead right here. But that didn't happen. He stayed watching that big diamond glitter at him. "Fine, believe what you like. We really should get to business." This time his voice was flat, eyes dulling from their original fire. He was angry at himself, not her. She had done nothing wrong and yet he dumped her. Because he couldn't support her. Because he couldn't give her a life she deserved. He looked up, eyes thinly veiling pain, some creeping into the corners. He wanted her to be mad. Part of him wanted her to lash out, make him feel the pain. He was always blamed, even by his drunken and abusive father he felt like the pain was his fault. Only years of therapy, convinced by the bombshell blonde on front of him, had dug out the painful bullets of taking the blame and the pain of everything. Now, it really was his fault..

alyssa knew good and well she was sinking lower than she should. But it was better than cursing, truthfully all her prodding of Ryan hurt her just as much. Loosing him for her felt like loosing a limb to other people. They were that intense, that invested in each other. Or they had been till Ryan had pulled it all out from under her with no explanation. No apology, not even a goodbye. Nothing. Not for five years. Even still the beautiful blonde regretted flashing the ring. Ryan had never had anything and Alyssa loved him anyway but here she was with over a million dollar ring, it would sting for anyone. A. Part of her wanted the ring she didn't known Ryan had. Something that had some meaning that was about them, but that was crazy, that was the girl from five years ago. Not the polished engaged college graduate of today. Alyssa wanted to believe this was what she had always deserved, a good happy wealthy life. That Ryan had just been a roadblock but what if he wasnt what if he was the one and only? The love of her life? She looked up to meet his gaze, hearing such a pain in his tone it brought her back to times she'd taken care of him, when his dad and bruised and bloodied that gorgeous face and she held him while he cried out in his sleep. It broke something in her too. Shaking her head Alyssa sighed. " Ryan, I don't hate you. I never wanted anything but the best for you so please, if you ever loved me. Don't be this guy. Don't hate me don't hate the life I made for myself when you left. But don't hate yourself either. Fate just likes to screw with us. But you don't have to do this. I'll pay you and find someone else, Jason will understand " she offered softly. All gentle silk and kindness in her tone. The malice was gone only pain remained on her delicate face.

Ryan laughed, dry and humorless. He looked away, lips curving into a sad smile. "You still don't understand, do you?" He shook his head, leaning forward so his arm lay on the table and he captured her gaze with those lovely blue ones. "I don't hate you, because you moved on, hell, I don't hate you at all. I left you so you could have this life. This wonderful, luxorious life that I could never give you." He relaxed back into his seat. "All I ever wanted was for you to be happy and if Jason Kennedy does awesome." His voice was soft, almost tender. "But, I still would like to film and take pictures of your wedding. My boss needs me to, and he actually does hate me, so if his company doesn't bring in the big bucks from the Kennedy wedding, he'll be pissed off as hell." He explained. Some part of him did want to be there. To actually see her in a wedding dress, dolled up and beautiful. Like she could have been for him.
(I know! But they have to end up together, they're too perfect for each other!)

Alyssa heard him and frowned seeing him look away, him being hurt had always hurt her too. And now some of that remained. " understand? What's there to understand?" She asked still confused as she looked him in the eyes. It was subconscious but those eyes still gave her chills and made her heart give a little flutter. It was something no one could help-what you always felt for that first love. Hearing him Alyssa shook her head a frustration growing in her. " why did you never say that. I thought you were a complete ass for five years and you let me. Your crazier than I ever though Ryan" she sighed softly a forlorn nature in her green gaze. " but he does.....make me happy,I don't think I could when you left me. But it happened and I don't want to have to regret it. " she explained then a small smile started on her face when he refused her offer to give him an out. But then stopped herself making her face polite and unreadable again. " of course,I'm not going to interfere with you doing your job. " she agreed quietly " look I have to get going soon....I've got a fitting" she murmured looking at him unsurely. She didn't know what to say or do. That was what Ryan did to her.

Halloween. Pumpkins scream in the dead of- yeah no. This Halloween? It would be wolves and mortals clashing, maybe. For many of the wolves, especially the women in the pack took time to get ready, even Carina. The Alpha's gorgeous sister looked stunning. She wore a jet black dress that fell to the floor, the ends velvet and swished with every movement. It clung to every curve of her normally slender body and had a dip in the back to show off the pale curve of her spine. Lace curved over the necking of the dress and flowed into elegant charcoal designs over the bodice which wrapped around her tiny waist. Her hair was done in elegant curls and fell down her back and shimmered with each movement, a lace of diamonds threaded through her hair. A mask was laid across her face, a simple black that curled around her head. The left side had small diamond-looking designing while the right was dominated by an elegant swath of raven feathers, highlighting her cat-like green eyes. The only other indicator that she was Carina Ravenwood was the vampire-like purple-red lipstick that. As for her older brother? Sirius looked like a dark knight. His hair was glossy and shiny, falling to his chin and his dark golden-amber eyes glowed behind a nearly identical mask to his sister, except raven feathers adorned both sides, but didn't over ride his natural beauty of a chiseled face and beautiful eyes. A black silken shirt hung over his body, tight enough to reveal muscles and suit pants. A velveteen cloak was curled around his shoulders held together with a single emerald pendant around his throat. The ball room was grandly done. The marble floors gleamed and the lighting was not too dim, but not bright by any means. Candles glowed everywhere in golden holders and everything was draped in purples and reds and mostly blacks while the hall itself was golden in color. Skulls lay on the tables and thin white draping hung from open spaces like large cobwebs. Instead of a small band of string players, the organ rang out along with bells each fifteen minutes. All and all, you could've been back in time.

Ryan laughed again, still dry and humorless. He looked up to her green eyes, his own optics not as full of pain. "I'm glad he makes you happy, Alyss." He tried to make the words sound genuine. He nodded to her next words. "Of course, I have work to do with my team," he slid his phone out of his pocket to avoid her gaze. He texted one of the coordinators and long time friend; Cory, about the next meeting. He looked up. "Have fun at the fitting," he said a little awkwardly.
