Hello, Hello, Hello → { Introduction }
Once there was a time when people were not as keen on accepting the strange and magical. This attitude towards those who were different caused many to choose sides and for those who were strange and looked at like monsters to decide to draw the line in the dirt where if past, they would show no mercy. These people were true to their word, trustworthy and did not often lie, but those without the strange abilities the others possessed did not believe this and took it upon themselves to betray the magical beings and to cross the drawn line. The line that was drawn was that if another one of the magical were killed or captured, awar would break out. So, when some arrogant young man murdered the son of the magical beings so-called leader. And so, the magical beings declared war against the military and the civilians of those who were not like them. The war started in Roscommon, Ireland, a secluded town, where the first battle took place. Few died, but in the later battles to follow multiple souls lost their lives. And then the final battle came, neither side was beaten, but neither had wonand so a truce between the magical beings and military was made. A treaty was signed stating that all magical beings within the limits of the town of Roscommon would be safe from harms way. And to this day, this treaty has benn held highly. Now ,after the war there were many children of the magical beings who were without care and needed to be taught the ways of magic without the fear of being hunted by a force of government and so, Althone High was born. Well, not officially. An older man, half mortal and have magical, decided that there needed to be a place where magical children could learn to use their abilities without the government breathing down theirback so with the communities vote, he created Athlone High. Then suddenly from all over the world, parents began to appear with their children, moving into Roscommon and bringing prosperity to the shops and such, to send them to a school while still living in the comfort of their own homes. Over the years, Athlone High has grown from the smaller version of itself into a large school for students from all over the world to attend, as long as their families are living in Roscommon, Ireland. Roscommon has since grown outside it's limits taking up some more land, but not enough to be noticable and in safety and prosperity Roscommon thrives. Or at least, for now it does.

Follow the Guidelines → { Rules }
Literacy ; This is an advanced, or rather semi-advanced, role play. If you cannot type in complete sentences and post in three or more sentences per post then I don't think this is the place for you, but it's up to you whether you join or not. Please no text talk and try to do your best with grammar and spelling because it'd be nice if we could read your posts. Characters ; I want everything to be as fair as possible, so when creating and role playing your characters do not make them powerplay, do not godmod, and please do not spotlight your self. I also do not want to see any mary/gary sue/stues on this role play, just not. It's that simple. Spam ; Do not spam. I'd like it if you just don't. If you have a friend here and you need them to return to a role play, go for it, just don't do it every five minutes [ you know what I mean ] as it gets fairly annoying Forum Rules ; Follow these without heed, it's just a given that you follow them and I don't want to have this role play deleted for you thinking that you can skid by just once with breaking a rule, just don't. Have Fun ; Unless I missed something, this is the last rule. It is a rule to have fun and to add drama to the role play. There will be romance and things will happen so just have fun.

What does the Map Say → { Athlone High && Roscommon, Ireland }
Athlone High school is located in Roscommon, Ireland, a secluded place where many alike stay, people with abilities that were ridiculed by those who feared them, people who generations before had died to be able to live in peace, if even in a place that was for the most part decided for them. Athlone High is the only school in this location for these different people with their children. The looks of the school are something that look like they are from Medieval Times, large stone castle walls rise up from behind trees as you first ride up, large golden colored gates greet you and open to those who are either in the school's require uniform or if they have a pass to come on school grounds. Just outside the gates is a small cottege looking building thatis set up for thoe who are looking to get themselves passes onto schoolgrounds or for the workers of the school to check in each morning before the first rush of teenagers arrive. Now, past the gates is the castle front steps, white and pure compared to the run down color of thelarge building and two large oak colored doors awaiting it's students. Around the front yard of the school is lush green grass perfect for a lunch time picnic, a few picnic tables dot the right side of the yard. The other side holds a large oak tree that a certain teacher likes to hold classes around sometimes. Whenyou open the doors of the school, the first thing you see are two long stairways, on either side of a desk where a student often sits. a student on the School's welcoming committee. Here is where students signin in the morning so the teachers know who has attended on a specific day. Both staircases lead to the second floor, the floor for the second years. However, upon the first floor the first years learn. On the left and right walls of the building when you step through the door, there are two large openings that lead to the hallways of each class. The right hallway has only two classrooms, but the rest of the walls are filled with lockers. The left hallway has all the classrooms that are important. First years have four required classes- Self-Defense I, Glamor I, Psyche I, and Metrics or Advanced Metrics. First years may take up to seven courses, but the required amount is five which includes the required classes as well as one elective. electives at this school are just like that of a normal school, except there are a few strange classes like Potions and Mythology. Onto the second floor. Here is where the seconds years learn. On this floor there are three halls, two large ones and one shorter one. The short one has four classrooms, two on each side of the hall, where the bigger classes happen. The gym, Cafeteria, office, and infirmary are up in this hall, for everyone. Then the left hall has lockers and the right has the classes. Required classes for second years are Self-Defense II, Glamor II, Psyche II, Advanced Metrics or Advanced Metrics II, and the Mortal World. Second years can take up to eight classes, but the required amount is five, all of the required classes. The third floor, as there are four, is for the third years. This is set up like the first floor, minus the stairs. It is accessed by a single set of stairs on the first floor behind a door marked stairs. Required classes for third years are Self-Defense III, Psyche Advanced I, and the Mortal World.Third years are only required four classes and are allowed to have up to seven classes. Finally there is the fourth floor, of course before the roof. Here it is set up just as the third floor and is accessed the same way. Required classes for fourth years are Psyche Advanced II and the Mortal World. Fourth years are only required to take three classes, two required and one elective, but may have up to seven classes. Then there is the roof where the school has their pool. A tent-like roof covers the pool and when not in use, a tarp covers the pool as well. There are bleachers and the walls of the roof are iron bars high enough to climb, but also to not fall over and to your doom. In the back of the school, surrounded by a wooden fence is a large green grass field. Sometimes students eat out here at the picnic tables, but kids mostly loiter around here just before school as well as after. It is covered in green grass and from the forest behind the school, shade falls over the sides of the fence for those who just want to lounge around. Nothing else is there to mention so that's Athlone High for you.

Every student at Athlone has a Familiar, or an animal who has the ability to speak and helps to guide the student. They're bonded at birth. Familiar's have something that set them apart from other, normal, animals. These creatures are often adorned with an earring in one of their ears, a scarf around his or her neck, or a bracelet or band around one of their legs. Familiars are often the opposite gender of their bonded, but it is possible for there to be a familiar and a bond to be the same gender.
