"Are you going to the Yogathon on Saturday?"The inquisitively enthusiastic voice of none other than Josephine Baker. Her voice was still a tad hoarse, she hadn't done much talking since she had woken up, and an early morning class didn't require any social interaction. The young red head sitting across from her had been shoving sweaty shoes into her already overpacked dance bag when her head shot up. "Oh! Right um, good question.." She replied before shaking her head and standing up. Securing the strap more securely over her shoulder, she tilted her head and started walking towards the door out of the studio. She stopped for a moment to allow Josephine to catch up before following up, "You?",she asked in a nonchalant tone, pulling out her water bottle and taking a long swig.
Josephine had since fallen in step besides her and pursed her lips in thought. Yogathan meant time commitment, and time was a precious commodity these days. "You know, Im not entirely sure", she wondered aloud with a sigh. Who knew what she had planned for this weekend, usually her scheduled wasn't solidified until the night before. "I might be working, but you can probably count on me not showing up", she said with a wink before stepping outside the building onto the concrete of the sidewalk,"-but I will see you for morning yoga on Monday?", by this time she was walking in the opposite direction of her friend, who just looked at her with a goofy smile. "Dang, do I smell that bad?", Lina, her friend, asked before shaking her head. By now , Jo was quite a ways down the block, but still had managed to hear her. "No! New roommates, gotta get going", she called with a smile before sending an enthusiastic wave her way.
How bad of a roommate would she be if she was there to greet the newcomers. Plus, knowing Ari, her friend definitely didn't want to be only person showing them the ropes. Cursing under her breath, Josephine whipped out phone and send a quick message her way. She would be there soon, five minutes tops if the traffic lights decided to be on her side this lovely day. Either way, when she got there, she would be sure to apologize profusely, she had been deciding on whether the class was a good idea for the past few days, and usually it was a great decision. The yoga studio was so close, and it was a perfect way to get energized for the day's challenges, much like a persons affinity to cup of morning Joe before facing the world. It usually didn't run this late, but Josephine knew that there is never a perfect day. At least this was something she could deal with rather quickly.
By now the female's pace was a brisk jog, a little hurried but poised to the point where passerby would just think she was cooling down from a long workout. Letting out a long breath, Josephine tugged at the hairband holding her pale tresses in a messy bun until it relieved her scalp of its painful grip. The blonde waves fell down to her shoulders in a swift motion before her slender fingers raked through them hastily. She didn't want to scare them away- who would want to live with an out of breath crazy looking lady. "Everything is going to be fine" she repeated as she yanked the door to the apartment open, and in a matter of seconds found herself in the spacious stairwell, taking two steps with each graceful leap. Bursting out the fourth floor door, Josephine froze when she saw a girl standing in the hallway. Panting lightly, Josephine scanned the scene before her before taking action- the girl wasn't just standing anyway, that was most definitely her home. This was it, someone was here, and she was late. With her eagerness delegating ever so slightly, she set her shoulders and started forward slowly.
"Hi! Oh.. ugh, sorry to startle you!" She started enthusiastically before stopping next to her. "I'm Josephine-but call me Jo" she started with an easy smile. Shrugging her shoulders up, she apologized quickly before reaching the door. "It should be open! At least I hope it is", she added, before grasping it firmly and pushing forward. Josephine then slid past her quickly before setting her small duffle on the a floor next to the door. "Ariella! I'm home, I'm sorry I'm late, I'm a mess-", she stopped mid-sentence before turning to Ryan. "Oh wow.. I must be absolutely distressing to you right now", she realized with a small gasp. Taking a number of steps back, she searched the apartment with for a familiar face before offering another small smile to the Newcombe, "Please take your time, take it in! Also, if you need help getting in, please don't be afraid to ask", she emphasized with a firm nod.
