James Skyes ; ; Always the studious student, James had never thought about skipping classes and the rest of the day, his teeth biting his lip as James looked around wearily. Knowing, knowing that his parents would be mad when they get the call, “James Skyes didn’t come to class today.” Sure, he didn’t go to some classes, but the Special Ed teacher always alerted the teacher that James was in her room or the nurses or the office. Because he didn’t just cut class, he hid where no bully dared to tread.
But his head bobbed in agreement, James deciding to be the ever rebellious and leave school before it ends unaccounted for.
Boy, was he in for a lecture when he got home. It didn’t matter though right now with Belle.

Belle Dupree: Belle grinned widely and bent down her discarded bag from earlier to grab her keys again. "I think I know some place great we could go," she told him, eyes shining brighter than they had in awhile. The feeling of rebelling against what she needed to do pumping through her and not only was it rebelling, but it was with the boy she loved.
She pointed to the passenger side as she began to walk to the drivers, getting in and adjusting everything the way it needed to be. She'd had her license for a while now, so it was pretty easy to drive for her. Belle started the car, memories of this place she had in mind flashing through her brain; she hadn't been there in so long. It was a painful memory, but she was able to push happiness over the thoughts of mourning, like usual, and waited until James was in the car before backing out of the parking lot and leaving the campus grounds for good.
Her grin was large when she looked at James briefly, now on the main road to town.

James Skyes ; ; Smiling, James glanced over at Belle; holding the handle like he usually would when his mother was driving or father. James felt the truck rolling under him, looking out the window as the town and trees rolled by. Being very passive, and quiet, it was rare there would be a time James would talk on a car ride unless when asked.
One hand reached out to the radio, turning on some light jazz station.

Belle Dupree: Belle tapped her right foot to the smooth beat of the music James put on, small smile evading her lips. As she watched road and slipped easily over the winding roads leading out of town towards her destination, she moved her finger to press down delicately on the control panel near her elbow. Both of their windows, drivers and passengers, until they were all the way down and the warm breeze wiggled throughout the car. Belle's dark brown locks flapped around her along with messy strings, but she just used a hand to settle them down easily. After a few moments, she had the radio turned up even louder and it filled her ears like the passing wind, fully, and peacefully.
Now, Belle wasn't a gifted genius when it came to singing whatsoever, but she could still carry a tune. The channel was changed a bit after to an alternative station with a pretty girl singing, and Belle matched her tone pretty well, light, airy. Her light eyes danced over the upcoming road as she led the car over it, letting herself relax for the first time in a long time.

James Skyes ; ; When James wanted to sing, he could sing, but he was more a hummer. Never would James Skyes be caught dead in chorus, so James never sang in public. Once in awhile his mother or father would catch a lyric or two from his room, but James never sang very loud either. Tapping to the beat willingly, James looked over at the girl he loved as she drove them to wherever she was taking him.
