Bree nodded, understanding what he was telling her. "Alright. But I'm not going there to judge, really. I'm just curious, and I want to know if I am like your kind. Doru said I was." She rubbed her fingers along her elbows, green eyes flicking as they tried to take in the surroundings quickly. "I have some questions, but should I wait and ask him first?" She meant Doru. She tried to keep up with the large male, strides quick and short.

"You can ask me," Fane responded, ducking slightly to avoid a branch overhead. "I will do my best to answer them, but Doru might have more information on whether or not you really are a half-blood. I can smell the wolf on you; she's buried deep, more pronounced now that you've more or less accepted her, but still faint." He flicked his crystalline gaze to Bree for a moment, observing her. He personally believed that she was half-Priciolici, though he knew she doubted it. It was natural; she'd been raised in the human world, one where monsters and werewolves and fairies didn't exist. Fane was raised knowing exactly what he was and who he would become, but he did understand Bree's doubts.

"So, if I am half wolf, or whatever you call yourselves, I know it starts with a P...how would I be able to transform into a wolf like you? And would I be a weak wolf? And will I be able to do and see everything you can?" She asked softly, her five and a half foot frame manuevering around the small obstacles before she settled into her previous position; next to him. Her head was tilted back, curiously eying him with her bright optics.

"Priciolici," Fane corrected. "It's Romanian for werewolf, I believe." He paused for a minute. "I do not know much about those who are not born full wolf, but I do believe there is a ritual sort of thing that calls on the moon's power to draw the wolf to the forefront. And phasing is quite simple; you'll learn how to, if that is your wish." He shook a few leaves from his hair. "No, you wouldn't be a weak wolf. A small one, yes, but that doesn't mean your weak. Elohir is one of the smallest wolves in the pack, but she's handed even Doru his backside several times." He smirked. "You'll like Elohir, trust me. And yes, your senses would be heightened to about three times a normal human's."

Bree silently listened to all of this, nervously wringing her hands. She was nervous and hesitant about this situation, especially meeting the pack for the first time. After all, they were wolves, and she couldn't protect herself or anything. Her sides heaved in a sigh and she glanced back up at him, warily studying his facial expressions. "Would I have to live at the camp after this? Or after a turn? Will I have to eat....carcasses?" She made a face at that word, continuing moments after, "will anyone hate me? I'll still be half human once I turn into a wolf? What color will I be? Do you guys have something like mates for life? Will I have one? If I am part were-wolf of course."

"No, no, and no," Fane rattled off, "to your first three questions, at least. As for the fourth, perhaps. It depends on the impression you give; we're a pack, which means, even if they hate you, they will do everything in their power to protect you and keep you safe. It's how wolves in the wild live, and it is how we live." He lifted one hand, holding a bough of branches out of the way as he waited for Bree to pass. "Yes, you'll still be half-human; your wolf will be more prominent. There's no way to tell what color your coat will be until you shift. Yes, we have mates for life; we call them our true mate, or our life-mate. They are rare, so it is possible that no, you will not find your mate. But that does not mean you will not fall in love." Fane shrugged, letting the branches drop after he passed beneath them. It was a long walk to the camp and he was patient, already preparing for Bree's next round of questions. He found them amusing; the innocence of this half-blood was refreshing, a ray of peace in a time of war.

Bree nodded thoughtfully at Fane's answers, her pink lips pursed in thought. "I see....is there anything else I should know?" She asked softly, ducking through the tree bough that Fane held aside for her. She gave him a thankful smile, lips tilting upwards. She rubbed her cheek with the back of her smooth hand. She unconsciously started to chew the inside of her cheek, gaze curiously scanning her surroundings. She was eager to get to the camp, and she was feeling a little impatient about it. With a sdigh, her gaze drifted to his. "Is it a long walk?" She frowned.

"About another ten or fifteen minutes," Fane responded. "I will be happy to answer any other questions you can think of, but if you wish, I can tell you the history of my people." The leaves crunched beneath Fane's feet, clothed in worn moccasins. Sneakers didn't do well with the phase from man to wolf and vice versa, so Fane often went bare-foot or wore some sort of sandal. Currently, he was clothed in a pair of old jeans and a t-shirt the color of his hair; ebon. He ducked slightly, a branch brushing through his locks and tugging at his hair lightly, though he ignored it, continuing on through the forest.

Bree nodded quickly, eager to hear the history of his people. She quickened her pace, rushing forward to meet her. Becauseshe wasn't paying attention a branch smacked her in the face, but because of her quick reflexes she didn't get it so bad. She grunted, swatting it away. ""So what are the ranks?" She curiously asked, eyes squinting against a small sliver of light shining into her eye(making it short for more responses)

"The same as most wolf packs," Fane responded, "though a bit more complex. There is the Alpha - Doru - and the Alpha's children, who are next in line. Then there are the Royal Guards, who protect the Alpha and stand as warriors to protect the pack; then there are the other members of the pack. Each wolf is vital, and each wolf has a role to play that keeps the pack running smoothly." In a real wolf pack, even omegas, the lowest of the low, were vital; they were a form of stress relief when the pack was tense, and helped to keep the other wolves in line. The alpha ran the back, guiding his wolves as best he could; the beta was the next most dominant, though he did not control the pack.

"Okay, so kind of like a regular wolf pack. Makes sense....." She trailed off, not quite sure what to say now, so she fell silent, gaze casually flicking from him to the scenery. She tried walking as fast as she could, eager and impatient to get there. "Now you can tell me about the history." She reached out to poke or prod him, but paused just in time. She was a little scared about touching him and didn't know how he would react.

"Very well," Fane responded, secretly amused that she felt the need to poke him to affirm his existence. "Doru explained that he was two-thousand years old, I assume? If not, he was born in Romania a very, very long time ago; before the birth of Christ as it's recorded, I think; his people hunted the wolves in the Carpathian mountains out of fear, nearly driving them to extinction. At some point, something in Doru changed, though no one knows exactly when, aside from him of course. I believe he said that God came to him, thought the exact words He spoke aren't known by many. Doru said that he - along with his people - were imbued with a wolf's spirit, and have remained thus for quite some time. We are not immortal; we just live a long, long time since we heal quickly."

"Oh....so what could kill you? Like anything with a good amount of force? So.....I am really related to some of you then? And what if someone was less than half of your species? They wouldn't change into a wolf, would they?" She couldn't help but ask all of these questions. She was a very curious person and wanted to know everything she could about this strange species. "My father....before he died....he told me stories about your species, but I forgot most of the facts. I remember the name Doru, though. So if my father knew about your kind, he would naturally be the one that would have to be part wolf..." She rambled on.

"Yes," Fane responded. "Black magic, most of all, but anything with enough force. As long as our heart or brain is not damaged, we usually heal." Fane leapt forward, soaring over a fallen tree. Without another word, he turned back, grabbed Bree by the waist, and hauled her over the tree before placing her on her feet again. "It is possible," he told her, referring to her theory that her father was the wolf, "though there are a few humans in the nearby town that know of our kind. There is a chance that he simply knew of the stories, and was as human as a normal mortal"

Bree skeptically watched as Fane soared over the tree and landed on the other side. She gasped in surprise when he leaned over and grabbed her by the waist. She tensed against his grasp and quickly stepped away when he set her back down. She offered him a small smile, brushing her dress down, since it had rode up slightly. "I suppose, but my father seemed most likely. Although my mom was silent about it all, too silent." She brushed a stray lock of hair away from her face and her grin widened. "But being half human...wouldn't it affect something?" she asked curiously, referring to herself, and other half-breeds. She paused to ask these questions and quickly quickened her pace to catch up to him.
