Sabrina could practically hear her heart racing in her chest. Pounding and pounding she was sure it would just explode. Her hand on his chest left her breathless, the feeling of touching him just radiated warmth and desire into her. Sabrina was having a fight or flight moment, she knew how terrible this was morally. How much thatcher must want to run away from this, from her, from everything. He was so dedicated to his craft which was part of what drew her to him. As much as how insane and turning their lives upside down this experience was, Sabrina had never felt so steady and right as she did with thatcher's arms around her. Everything felt right with him touching her. Clearly he was somewhere else, thinking of memories and consequences and all the rules of being who they were. Sabrina saw it play out before her in his hunter green gaze. The fight against himself that was making this so difficult for him to figure out. Sabrina felt unsteady all of a sudden, his hands weren't on her anymore, he was drifting away and she was lost at sea, his faltering scared the hell out of the young dhampir, this couldn't happen. They couldn't loose eachother, not like this without ever giving any of it a fighting chance. Sabrina wanted her chance to fight for this. But suddenly he saved her, kissed her again and with a great relief and joy she responded wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. Sabrina wanted this, and in the light of day everything was so many times better. Because it was real, the glorious feeling she got from his touch was real and raw. And now Sabrina understood it, how being alive really and truly alive felt. Deepening the kiss Sabrina pulled him to her so there was no solace and she was pressed breathlessly against the wall.

Her giving in and consoling to his advances was the last, yet first, thing he wanted Sabrina to do. Boy, was it amazing. The feeling as their bodies neared ear other was setting sparks off. And like fireworks do, he exploded. He easily deepened the kiss - giving it more meaning and passion as his tongue rolled over her lips. Before he knew it, their breathes were intertwining together in a delicious soup of union. After a moment, he released his grip from her hand and placed it on the other side of her hips. It worked perfectly as he leaned a bit of his body weight onto her, making sure she couldn't squirm away from him even if she tried. It was hot, sensual, and amazing to be with Sabrina like this. He had fallen in love with her personality, her looks, and most of all the ways their bodies moved with each other. Whether this was agape or just eros love was uncertain at the moment. But he couldn't lie to himself. Even though it was wrong on so many different levels, he was enjoying himself.
But it all jolted back to reality when the door to their room had opened - exposing themselves as they pushed each other romantically up against the bathroom wall. Thatcher hadn't realized it at first. His usually perfect Dhampir senses weren't working properly. They were clouded by the scent, the movement, of Sabrina. So when he heard the awkward cough of someone standing at the door, his body jolted upright to attention.
This couldn't have looked good. Her pressed against the wall, his body exposed, and not to mention the belt dangling open from his pants. Luckily it was just a worker, but it was just as awkward trying to create the gap between their bodies as quickly as possible. Trying to adjust his belt so it didn't look as bad as it probably did. His normally calm and collected face was in a panic, turning a slight red by each second that passed. Shit. This was unprofessional.
"Mr. Clyne asks that you be ready to leave with him in thirty minutes." The worker said, shifting awkwardly in the doorway - keycard in hand. His brilliantly blue eyes shifted around the room. Onto the floor for most of the time. "I-I'll just tell him you got the message." And with that, he was gone. He quickly shut the door leaving Thatcher to stand there, completely dumbfounded. Caught. Guilty. Exposed. And no, he didn't return to Sabrina. He didn't even look at her any longer. He just briskly walked into the room and fumbled through his bags to find some clothes - silently panicking inside.

sabrina was totally caught of guard with how much this meant to her. It was as if someone had hit an on switch inside her brain and suddenly everything felts ten times more amazing. Every single touch. Every kiss. Every time she felt his body against his, it was practically euphoric. Sabrina was completely in the moment. Nothing else mattered and nothing else existed. Sabrina would've grinned or smiled or laughed if she wasn't occupied with kissing him already. It was completely intense. Having his lips on hers was like nothing she'd ever felt before. Maybe thatcher had been in love before or at least fallen far enough that you got to feel like this. But to Sabrina this was all completely new. Like nothing else ever before. Sure she had some experience but none of that compared to the feel of thatchers touch against her skin. He had her pinned, no movement allowed in their space. As if Sabrina would ever want to move. She could stay here forever if that was possible. Suddenly they were pulled apart by a noise outside and Sabrina felt foolish. They'd both let their guard down. It was a stupid stupid move. Now they were in a bind and Sabrina was terrified. This was thatcher's worst nightmare. His logic behind not getting involved with her. This was what made them wanting each other so terrible and difficult. And now it was knocking at their door- literally. So he pulled away, clearly distressed and nervous, this was a slap in the face for their not even begun relationship. Someone catching them? It changed everything which scared the hell out of Sabrina. She couldn't loose him, it would break her no matter how desperately the young dhampir tried to harden her heart against breaking. So she resisted the instinctive urge to reach out and pull thatcher back to them, pull them back into that private world of a moment where it was just them. Attempting lamely to straighten herself up and look presentable, Sabrina brushed some strands of unruly golden locks back into place and smoothed her shirt in a desperate try to make it look like it didn't happen. Making eye contact with the worker Sabrina nodded and forced a polite smile to her face. Clearing her throat Sabrina managed a " thank you sir" and then her heart sunk, they were never getting back to each other, it was just a terrible feeling in her gut. Of course, thatcher didn't come back Sabrina sighed and sank down a moment on the bathroom floor, hugging her knees and closing her eyes a moment. Eventually after waiting a few minutes she ventured in, grabbed some clothes then got dressed away from him. Soon she retuned when they had ten minutes left and stood infront of him. " look, this isn't safe and maybe it isn't right either but we can't just....stop it won't work. So professing is professional and when we have time....then..." She trailed off then pecked him on the lips before pulling back, she couldn't get sucked in right now. " now talk to me"

Even thought Thatcher didn't initially enjoy the thoughts Sabrina was spewing out, it did begin to grow on him. Maybe if he kept his job professional, he could have time with Sabrina and... no. That still wasn't right. Something was off. He couldn't quite understand, but the whole idea of a relationship between the two -even though they had wanted it so badly - felt so taboo. So wrong that it fought with all his other moral standings. He had just began to fixate a gray beanie atop his head when she had quickly pressed her lips to his. It sent a shock wave through his face, both of actual shock and embarrassment. He had enjoyed it, but then again... moral standings and all that bullshit. He refused to look her straight in the eye and tried to distract himself with placing the stakes inside the holsters. Placing it on his belt and beginning to hide it under his thick, winter clothes. It was kid of obvious what he was doing, though. The way he moved was a little bit robotic, and the slightly reddened cheeks didn't help his case. "Talk about what?" He asked shortly, his voice not giving a hint about what he was feeling even though his body and face surely was.
Sorry, short reply ;o;

Sabrina knew there was a huge chance he'd reject absolutely everything she was suggested. After knowing thatcher for the while she had, Sabrina knew how set in his morals he was. How much his values and rules meant to him, hell it was part of what she'd admired in the beginning about him. But now that thing she admired was about to crush her, under a pile of morality bs. So she just waited, hoping and praying to whatever god there was that thatcher wouldn't turn his back on her. He couldn't do that to her. To them. Not when just that one little kiss just now felt so electric and perfect. It just wasnt possible. Only...it was because thatcher wasnt looking her in the eye, he was stuffing stakes into the holster as if that would cleanse him of whatever moral sins the two had committed. It was obvious, from the way he moved to the expression on his face that thatcher didn't know how to handle it, or at least couldn't handle it. It hurt, it hurt a lot because she had been unprepared for all of this, there was no time to build a walk around her heart, in case he decided t take a sledgehammer to it. So everything came crashing down when he spoke, pretended there was nothing and well....Sabrina didn't take that too well. She reached up and slapped him across that beautiful face just once. But with her hand once was enough. " don't try that shit with me" she replied her voice dangerously quiet as she looked him in the eyes. Sabrina looked calm but there was such a fire in her stormy eyes.

"What the fuck Sabrina?" He roared, quickly turning towards her - eyes ablaze with his anger. His cheek stung like it never had before. This was new type of pain. Not one that just hurt physically, but mentally as well. Nothing an enemy could possibly imagine causing. The pads of his fingers gently grazed over the now reddening skin. It was almost forming a perfect hand print on his cheek, the layout of her fingers appearing as a non-permanent tattoo of his mistakes. "What do you need me to say?" He hissed, taking a few steps towards her but not in a threatening manner. All of his features showed his anger, but underneath that his eyes were pleading with her to stop. His mind wasn't prepared to talk about it. It was too fresh, too new for him to even have a chance to think about it logically - which was Thatcher's favorite way of figuring things out. He never accounted for his emotions, and that was all that was running through his mind right now. Nothing logical, just his pure emotions on all the events that had unfolded. "Do you want me to tell you that was the best mistake i've made in a long time?" He paused and dropped his hand to his side, "Or that can't happen again because we are Dhamphirs and our job is to protect others. That we can't do that while having our heart invested in another person. And not to mention that you are my student."

That we can't do that while having our heart invested in another person. And not to mention that you are my student." 9 Sabrina knew she had overstepped some very reasonable and key boundaries by slapping him in the face, but he was totally asking for it. Looking at her like that, wanting to get away with crushing her heart and pretending it didn't happen. No. Maybe it was pathetic but Sabrina was a fighter, no way in hell we she just going to roll over and take it. It was a mistake, that much was clear from thatcher's tone and his reaction, the pain so clear in those hunter green eyes hurt her to. Then he spoke, voice complete venom and frustration as he looked down at her, being a few inches taller, she wasnt afraid he'd hit her back. That wasnt thatcher but Sabrina did fear what she'd done to him. Yes he wanted to be angry but more than that he wanted to see that this wasnt the tme or place. And he was totally right, but that didn't change anything for Sabrina. Not now when she felt like this. She wanted thatcher to indulge all those feelings he gated up behind the logic he used to make choices. Then he was speaking again, clearly distraught over how painful this was for him the fight against himself. And how she was reacting to the situation, admittedly Sabrina wasnt being fair. But this wasnt fair period. So Sabrina just watched him, a sorrow growing in her stormy gaze as he continued. Finally he finished and her heart was finished. Or she had thought it was until she found her voice. It was quiet and low but her's nonetheless. " no. Because I know all of that. I want you to think about how you feel. Forget the morals and the consequences. If it was just us. Would you want me?"

A long sigh fell out of Thatcher's chest, heavy in aggravation. His eyes flowed off her body and quickly pacing towards the dresser beside him, finding himself absently staring at the dark wood. "But there are consequences, Sabrina." He mumbled, his voice low. It hurt him to act like this. To not just tell her what was on his mind. How wonderful it was. How he had really wanted to be in the same position from earlier. To get to know her on a deeper level than where they were now. But he knew he couldn't. Reality was setting in hard. "We are doing a job with consequences right now. If that doesn't spell things out for you that we live in reality. Then I don't know what will." His dark green eyes were glancing at her out of the corner of his eyes before dragging his head to match where his irises were looking. "Grow up and stop involving your emotions. We have a job to do." Another stab at his chest. He wanted to stop himself - but he had to give Sabrina a lesson. Nothing good comes out of relationships like this. It was only heartbreak and defeat. At least, that was Thatcher's understanding of it all. Their life wouldn't be so easy. They would see people die in front of their very eyes. People they cared about. Sabrina was new to this experience, but once she graduated. Once she was out in the real world. The reality of it all would slap her in the face - and Thatcher wanted to prepare her for that. Things wouldn't go so smoothly. He had wished someone had told him that when he was in school. Then things wouldn't have been as devastating as they were a few years back.
He could remember it quite vividly. The picturesque mountains lined with snow. A perfect white blanket. Everything had seemed so peaceful. So nice. But also so boring. He had gained friendships with the people he worked with. And even a start of a relationship with one of the Dhamphers. She was smart and sassy, a lot similar to Sabrina in some respects. He had fallen for her hard. Holding every emotion on his shoulder. For the world to see. For her to see. And those few months that he had gotten to know her were the best of his life at the time. Such a vast connection with people - one he hadn't had before. But then reality. It came to bite him in the butt. It came to remind him just what line of work he was really in. Those picturesque, blanketed mountains were tainted. Tainted with crimson red of his friends. Male and female alike - and also his lover. Some having even been killed by their own hand. That included Thatcher. The love of his life had been turned before his very eyes. Right then and there he had to make the decision - to let her live a life he knew she didn't want to live, or kill her. He opted with giving her what she would have wanted. At the end of all this, he sat alone in the snow. Surrounded by the crimson blood and hollow bodies he once called his friends. When others had found him, he was sitting in the snow staring down in the wide eyes of a male - his face half covered with snow touching the glassy balls of his once seeing eyes. It earned him the tattoo sitting on the back of his neck. They didn't know how many he killed. How many of his former allies he had killed. It took everything in his power not to go insane. But he took this as a lesson. That his survival meant he needed to do something with his life and that was to become a teacher. Make sure students were strong, physically and mentally, for what could have come up. It also explained why he was so cold - unable to really explain his thoughts very well. He had ice forming on his shoulders in a thick of a layer as the snow capped mountains that faithful day.

Sabrina knew this was going to mess absolutely everything up. Maybe she should’ve never started things the other night and she wouldn’t be in a place to lose anyone else she actually cared about. Because Thatcher and her before all of this? It could’ve lasted. Could’ve been some long enduring relationship-platonic, one where Sabrina could’ve had a friend and a mentor to guide her through the reality of guardianship. But Thatcher was speaking again. And it hurt; it hurt a lot because everything he said made perfect sense. He was right about it. About how painful this could be. So Sabrina didn’t look at him, because it was already painful. She trained her stormy gaze to the carpeted floor and nodded every once in a while so that he thought she was listening. He was avoiding her gaze to, so it wasn’t those hunter green eyes daggering her heart- it was him telling her the cold hard truth. Sabrina had thought she was grown up- she’d always been more mature and focused than any of her classmates at St. Vladimir’s. But then Thatcher had decided to waltz in and make her life miserable. All that growing up and shielding her heart and acting mature was shattered. Because Sabrina hadn’t noticed it creeping up on her, the feelings, the attraction, the chemistry. So now she was screwed. No mentor. No feelings. Only the job. That’s what you were allowed as a dhampir. Protection was the goal of their lives. It wasn’t Thatcher’s fault- he was getting her ready for how harsh all this reality was. But Sabrina couldn’t help but feel like she’d been cheated out of something that could change her life. Obviously Sabrina didn’t know the horrors that Thatcher had faced, what had made him so cold. So she didn’t know what to say. Sighing Sabrina settled for saying “Fine…your right, clearly. I’m sorry for pushing it. You know how it goes and I’m completely out of my league here. So fine. I’m done trying.” She said quietly. Her tone was matter of fact but there was such a desolation and defeat in her eyes it was obvious how much this was tearing her apart.

"Okay" Thatcher mumbled shortly. He shifted his hat on his head as he brushed past her, making his way towards the door. There was no eye contact, just
[ k. so like. i had this awesome reply of his just walking out the door like "Then let's go" but like....... my computer froze. (That's all I have left up there) so now i'm super frustrated and don't feel like retyping it -w- Do you wanna just get to the plan that I have of when him and sabrina go out with Mr. Clyne? ]

Cold chilled dominated Thatcher's body. Even though he was wearing plenty of jackets, scarves, clothes period - it was still freezing. His hands were beginning to feel numb, causing the painfully tingling feeling at his digits. This made him wished he had pressed his desire to stay closer to Mr. Clyne, aka inside, earlier. But on the flamboyant man's multiple requests, Thatcher had to comply. Sometimes the interest of keeping the client happy passed the direct safety of it all. Mr. Clyne had business to do and these two Dhamphirs couldn't get in the way. At least he allowed them to stay directly out the door of the building. Standing on the opposite side from Sabrina, Thatcher couldn't help but make sideways glances. He was trying to look casual, as to not bring attention by the human passerby's or Sabrina but that wasn't working too well. A plume of smoke formed from his mouth as he let out a small sigh. Eyes shifted back and forth from people walking in front of them to the female beside him. "It's cold isn't it?" He mumbled, shifting the scarf around his neck so it covered his mouth - hopefully offering a reason not to speak anymore. After what had happened in the hotel room, he felt awkward around her but still felt the obligation of speaking. Maybe if he said one thing, Sabrina wouldn't think that he hated her completely. He was trying to be polite, but his tone came off a little dry. His movements were a little robotic as his feet shifted in the snow - causing a heavy crunching sound to fill some of the silence of the town - and leaned against the freezing brick. Probably not the best choice.

Sabrjna wasnt sure she could talk right now. Between her broken heart and the bitterly chilling cold on her body she was all frozen. Maybe it was better that way. If she died of frostbite then at least she'd never have to look Thatcher in the eyes again or act like nothing could hurt her after all that had happened with them. But no, not the case. Instead of being able to she'd a few layers and go inside with mr. Clyne she was stuck outside with no one around but that damned thatcher. But hey, she was just a guardian dhampir right? There was no say. You didn't get a voice if you were just an entire race of help. So Sabrina kept her mouth shut, Clyne was the client and it wasnt his fault that Sabrina was an idiot and thatcher was cold. So there they stood. Her pretending she didn't either want to run from him or kiss him, and thatcher next to her trying to look at her but pretending it didnT mean anything at all. Both of them were filthy liars. Suddenly he was looking at her, instead of pretending he wasnt, and thatcher actually had the Gaul to actually speak to her now.but he was being a coward, covering his mouth with a scarf and looking away again. It was obvious he didn't care at all, what she really thought. He was just faking being polite. As if he cared. Maybe Sabrina sounded angry, but it was the only was she could build the wall around her crushed heart again. Silently hate whoever had broken it. It worked with her parents. With anyone who'd ever wronged her in her life. So thatcher just had to be another one of those boxes, tucked in a corner of her mind that never got touched. So Sabrina just nodded " it's winter, so yeah" she agreed her voice totally removed, holding no emotion. She was an iron gate. No emotion. But no such luck...because suddenly she'd opened her stupid mouth again "and please. Don't feel obligated to speak to me, not like it matters. I'm not gonna jump you or anything. I give up, remember? Your right"

Thatcher stared down at the gray that engulfed his mouth - warming his face up with every breath. Too bad it didn't warm up his heart. Her words seemed to aggravate him, sending chills down his back and putting a sour look on his features. "It was just small talk." He grumbled, though it didn't translate well through his scarf. It came out as more of a mumble, but enough to get the point across. His voice at least expressed one feeling inside, that he felt it was a mistake to speak to her at all. The last thing he wanted to be directly reminded about was the problem between the two. The tension. The events at the hotel. He wanted to dwell on it personally, not with her emotions clouding up him up with guilt. So he wore his aggravation on his sleeve, shifting his both so he could stick his hands in his pockets. Also, move so he couldn't sneak glanced at her. He wasn't aiming to hurt her. He wanted to help her in the long run, and if that included stepping on her heart a little and making her hate him - then so be it. It would toughen her up, prepare her and make her one of the best. Because she was certainly on the right path for that. With his back turned to her, his scanned the people walking by while his mind wandered. Trying to remind himself that was he was doing was right. Lying to himself was the best course of action. What brought him out of these thoughts, was a man walking up towards them. He was wearing the same attire as the workers of the hotel - bright blue eyes carrying a certain faked happiness. If Thatcher thought back enough, he would have recognized him as the boy who was piling Mr. Clyne's bags in his room. But that wasn't the concern at the moment. The boy was searching for something - or someone. Either way, his eyes and head shifted this way and that before landing on Thatcher and Sabrina standing at the door. "You two are staying in the hotel, right?" He asked, stopping in the snow so he stood directly in front of both of them. His blue eyes shifted back and forth, studying their cold demeanor. Surprisingly, the boy wasn't wearing a tremendous amount of clothes. Just a light jacket to cover his arms. Either he was insane, or completely used to this type of cold. Thatcher took a mental note of the insanity of small town people and nodded slightly, turning back to his original position so he could glance over at Sabrina. The male still couldn't find his voice past his thick scarf, and instead nodded. "And you're with Mr. Clyne, correct?" Once again, Thatcher nodded, furrowing his brow. "I have something for him." The boy started, shifting his hand up to show a letter and a couple papers, "That is very important and I must see him immediately. You wouldn't happen to know where he is?" As he asked this, his blue eyes shifted towards the door they were standing in front of and assumed. "May I go see him?" He asked, trying to shift his body towards Sabrina - finding her to look a lot more polite than the daunting male.

Sabrina sighed. Actually replying had been a totally stupid idea, but hey Sabrina was nothing if not full of stupid ideas. So here it was. The big ugly scene she had created for herself. Sighing quietly to herself she stared at the snow covered ground. Stormy gaze burned not the snowy pavement under her booted feet. The tension and frustration and the anger that passed between them was entirely both their faults. But Sabrina was the one taking the fall. He was older, colder, more used to bad and frustrating things happening. So Sabrina was the one left to herself. Thatcher could handle it. Surely he'd brush it off eventually. Return to his duties like nothing ever happened. And Sabrina would be lucky if she could manage that. Hey maybe she'd end up like thatcher, awesome at her job but totally dead on the inside. But he was right, it was technically just small talk. So now she looked like the jealous stubborn teenager who couldn't move on and him the mature professional. " yeah. Sorry" she muttered. But it sounded just as defeated and pathetic as her apology in the hotel room. The one where she admitted this was all her screw up and thatcher was totally right to reject what she wanted. He was just the good guy doing the right thing by feeding off the advances of his clearly crazy student. But suddenly...Sabrina was back in that hotel room. Her pressed against the wall deep in thatcher's embrace. Kissing him heatedly. And then suddenly that blue eyed hotel worker was there, the one who brought mr. Clyde's bags in. Suddenly Sabrina couldn't think about thatchers touch on her neck or his lips on hers because the hotel guy was acting shifty, looking around before approaching them. Immediately he started asking questions and Sabrina let thatcher handle it, he was of course "the amazing guardian" and she just the insane student who was supposed to watch and learn. Surprisingly he didn't wear many layers and payed all his attention to thatcher. Sabrina just stood their, listening, not moving, but on guard and prepared to strike. Thatcher didn't seem totally sure what to make of the guy, apparently he didn't remember him from the hotel. Not surprising considering thatcher was conveniently forgetting everything about those hours they'd spent at the hotel. But Sabrina was cursed with the complete inability to forget any of it. His words. His touch. The feeling she got when he smiled down at her, conveniently a few inches taller. But reality was upon them and this guy with the blue eyes was getting shifter and shifter by the minute. Now he wanted to find mr. Clyne and the protective guardian instinct came onto her. When he shifted towards her Sabrina took a step forward her gaze was steely. " no sir. I'm afraid you can't. Unless you have a valid reason?" She questioned raised a blonde eyebrow at him.
