Bastian Skyes ; ; Bastian shot Lauren a look. She was right though, that was something Bastian seemed to do when he was younger. Scratching up some crust from the island with his fingernail. “I’ll bring her up some dinner later.” Bastian said thoughtfully, moving to sit down and rub his neck for what seemed like eternity.
“I hate office jobs.” He muttered, rolling his head to look at Lauren.
{ Maybe Drew should wait a day to sneak out, that'll give me enough time to send Bastian to work for an emergency and Lauren to umhm, bleed. }

{ Sounds good to me Le-skipeh } Lauren Skyes: It'd been a weird feeling in Lauren's gut all day that made her go to take a nap mid-afternoon. She was immensely tired and couldn't shake the weird sensation from her. After finishing some left over dishes and changing into some pajamas, she slipped into hers and Bastian's bed, sighing at the comforting feeling it gave her. Her fingers tightened around the remote for the TV and she turned it on only to fall asleep to it after a few minutes.
She had a dream:
Lauren was in a forest. A misty, dark forest that didn't seem to be like one she'd ever seen before, and especially one you wouldn't find in Indonesia. She began to walk through the slim, dead trees, her fingers caressing the bark softly as she passed. Where she was going, she didn't know exactly. It was all hazy, her movements not of her own but that of her subconscious. In any real reality she'd be calling up Bastian right about then to rescue her - but she just kept walking instead.
Without warning rough hands grabbed her waist, twisting her body around and making her shoulder smack into the rough wood of a tree. The loose blond strands that whipped against her face was what she noticed, like her world was swirling and the hues of red and black in that forest weren't there anymore. The hands gripped roughly over her stomach, pressing into the gut of it. When her eyes flashed up, there were dark, menacing blue ones glaring back. It was Andrew who held her.
His hands were doing something to her abdomen, hurting her. She wanted to cry out, run away from the pain he was pressing into her. Her eyes never left his though to see what he was doing to her. Andrew's expression was evil, deadly. A lucid smile crept onto his lips.
"If I can't have you, then I'll take your kid with me to hell," his voice chilled her to the bone - the pain didn't stop in her gut. Realization hit her profoundly, her hands moving to push him away from her. The minute she looked down, a scream erupted from her throat as she saw her stomach ripped open under Andrew's claws.
Lauren's scream woke her up, actually no - it was the horrible, disgustingly intense pain clutching in her stomach. Another shrill of panic hit her - inhaling horribly hysterical breaths and grasping her gut. Her crazed blue eyes looked around her for Andrew - realizing she was actually just in her room, safe, away from him. If not for the sharp spasms shooting through her, she might've thought nothing was wrong. It couldn't be real. Andrew was dead. She'd been dreaming.
But with another delayed cry, she rested back into the pillow, her eyes squinted tightly, trying to calm down. The hurt she was enduring was non stop, making her breath pitched and heavy. The room around her spun in her vision before she thought she should call someone - anyone - because she was alone and in too much pain.
She had to get out of the bed to do this, to grab her phone and call 911. No, she'd call Bastian first. The pain was so bad.
The sheets were pulled away to slip her feet from them and to walk or crawl - however she could get to the phone the best - but was stopped dead in her tracks, eyes wide and face pale. Crimson liquid pooled around her legs, tickling the soft skin and staining it red every time she moved. No breathing or moving; Lauren didn't even think she was living in that moment.
All she could do was scream.

Bastian Skyes ; ; Having been called to an emergency a day ago, Bastian hadn’t been near his phone at all; instead his nimble fingers working hard to get two Americans overseas home to be buried by their families. His eyes dropping from the weight as he finally drove home of 48 hours of non-stop work.
Key sliding in the door to open, Bastian called “I’m home!” lightly, slumping to the living room where he collapsed on the couch.

{ I'm assuming this is after she goes to the doctor with Hannah? Or do we want him to find her first or something?? } Lauren Skyes: Lauren clutched her stomach where the pain was still searing, moving to get out of bed as quickly as she could and get to the bathroom. She stumbled, having to grab onto the dresser to catch herself before falling. Luckily the phone was right there, so she snatched it up before tripping to get to the toilet. Instead of calling Bastian, she dialed the number to Hannah, her one friend she'd made since high school.
Hannah answered with a, "Hey hot stuff."
"Hannah," Lauren cried into the phone, now sitting near the toilet instead of on it. Blood covered her legs and thighs and her entire floor soon was covered in it as well. "There's so much blood."
Hannah instantly sounded alarmed. "Lauren? Hello? What's going on? Are you hurt?"
Lauren sobbed into the phone, inhaling deeply and pressing the phone shakily to her ear, hunched over. "I'm b-bleeding everywhere," she stuttered, her teeth chattering a bit. Not only was she still terrified from the dream and what it had meant, but the pain was unbearable. "It hurts so bad, Hannah."
"Where are you? At home? Did you call Bastian?" she heard Hannah moving a lot on the other end and had to blink away tears. "Lauren talk to me so I an get you help."
Once again it hurt to even speak but Lauren pushed through, still clutching onto the toilet. "I'm at home. Bastian's at work. Can you come get me?"
"I'm already on my way. Why didn't you call 911 Lauren?" Hannah asked her. A car door slammed on the other end of the phone.
"I-I just need you to take me to make the pain stop," she winced as another spasm over took her.
"Stay on the phone until I get there, understand?" Hannah instructed and it took about ten minutes for her to pull up in her small suv, another five to get Lauren cleaned up and in the car, and another ten to get her to the hospital/nearby clinic.

Bastian Skyes ; ; There was an odd moment of silence as Bastian came home from work, looking around; completely oblivious. This was, of course, sometime after Lauren and Hannah had gone to the emergency room; whether they were home or not he did not know. Looking around the living room, quiet, Bastian finally had the energy to call again. "Lauren? Drew?" It was evening, the sky was dark, and they most definitely should be home (unless Drew was at a friends house). Bastian's mind was going into gear, he thought they must of been asleep or napping. Like it wasn't uncommon for Lauren to come home and find him passed out on the couch, Bastian should expect it.
Sitting up, he began looking around. Peeking into Drew's room first, he noted Duke on the floor; but no Drew. Odd. She must not be home, or else Duke would be in the room with her.
He meandered to their room, opening the door quietly. "Lauren?" He asked into the graying darkness.
{ whether she's home (after the blood) or just coming home is up to you. }

{ Oh okie doke she'll come home right about now } Lauren Skyes: Lauren was escorted by Hannah towards her front door. "Lauren...are you alright?" she asked her, eyes filled with worry. Lauren's bottom lip trembled, still clutching her stomach like she had all afternoon even after she found out the news. Her eyes were glazed with sadness, but she didn't cry. She'd already shed all the tears she thought she ever would earlier with Hannah. What a good friend she was, holding her while she sobbed. She'd have to thank her on another day when she didn't feel so numb.
And empty.
There was no baby inside of her anymore.
Her eyes trailed sadly up towards her house, noticing Bastian's car in the driveway; it made her throat swell up in worry. She'd have to tell him. But how? How was she going to tell him? She couldn't face him, no, she couldn't. Maybe she could play it off for a while; just a few days so she could recover and get back the energy she'd cried out.
"N-No," she sighed shakily, hugging her body tightly. Hannah gave her arm a loving rub, then brought her body close to hers in a hug. She smelt like spices; Indian spices, because her family was traditional like the land they lived in. Hannah married a American man and moved onto the base a few years ago, which was why she was so American-like. Lauren was extremely grateful for her friend.
"Call me if anything goes down," she gave Lauren a look that meant about a hundred different things. One of which reminded her of their conversation earlier when Hannah had told her men sometimes didn't handle miscarriages very well - so if Bastian had a hard time she was welcome to bring herself and Drew to Hannah and Robert's house. Lauren wasn't scared of an angry reaction out of Bastian (actually, she preferred it), she was scared that he would be sad or hurt by it. It was all her fault. She knew it. The doctor said it was just something natural that happens and so did Hannah. But Lauren knew she'd killed her baby.
After saying a few more goodbyes with Hannah, Lauren watched her car disappear down the road and inhaled deeply, trying to catch her bearings. This was all too much. She was sore and sad and just felt completely void of any life at all. Moving towards the door took way longer than it should have, but she didn't care. She pushed open the door and closed it quietly behind her, still clutching her stomach a bit and her purse, though trying to seem normal for Bastian's sake.
"Honey?" she croaked, glancing around the still dark house before setting her purse onto the small table in the foyer along with shouldering off her small jacket to hang up in the closet mechanically. Oh God how was she going to tell him.

Bastian Skyes ; ;
Smiling, Bastian closed the door to his room to where Lauren had entered the foyer. With a thump of his feet on the stairs, Bastian swept his wife into a hug. "Hey, I was just wondering if you and Drew were out," He rubbed his hands over her arms, giving Lauren a squeeze as he looked into her blue eyes. Face dropping instantly, "Lauren, are you okay?"
He looked around for Drew, but it wasn't uncommon for the girl to hang out with friends so he thought nothing of it right now.

Lauren Skyes: Lauren's first instinct when he hugged her was to stiffen up, and she couldn't not do that because she hurt everywhere. She gave him a half-hearted hu back and then took a step away from him with a pained smile. "I'm fine," she said curtly and rubbed her arm, looking around the house. "Have you seen Drew? I thought she'd be home by now."

Bastian Skyes ; ; Checking the time, Bastian realized that she should be home, and if Lauren didn't know where she was. The color drained from his face as he abruptly moved towards the screen door, calling out into the night. "Drew!" It was only a matter of minutes before he was inside, thumping up the stairs and opening the closets to all the rooms, "Drew?"
Fumbling with the phone, Bastian was motioning for Lauren to call Mrs. Mosier. Because of his job, Bastian had gotten death threats from family members verbally and one or two on his desk. He'd never told Lauren about them To say he was worried was an understatement; Bastian was frightened.
He would never forgive himself if something happened to Drew because of him.
The phone pressed to his ear, Bastian called every number of every neighbor who Drew knew to go to if they weren't home.

Lauren Skyes: Lauren bit her lip, her heart beginning to flutter in her chest. Where was her baby? Her only baby? Oh God. Oh God.
"She's never ran away before, Bastian," Lauren grabbed for her phone to call Mrs. Mosier, her whole body pumping with adrenaline. "Oh God where is she?" she was just rambling into air, not really thinking straight. Her feet carried her to the side of the couch where her free hand dug it's nails into the fabric, turning her knuckles white. If she didn't calm herself down she'd probably start to panic and become hysterical and who knew what would slip out then.
But that helpless feeling from earlier in the day was starting to cut through her wall of numbness and she was slowly loosing control from her panic.

Bastian Skyes ; ;
"She probably went to a friend's house we don't know yet." Bastian assured himself, slamming the phone for the last time as he moved to the kitchen with haste; slamming cupboards open and drawers; picking out a flashlight and batteries. His body swaying slightly as Bastian moved towards the door, commanding to Lauren. His green eyes darting over Lauren with sympathy, his own fear coming out through them as he spoke softly. "Stay here in case she comes back."
With a slam, Bastian went outside to his car to look for his baby girl. Looking outside with the flashlight and driving up and down the streets calling out her name; wanting his baby girl to be okay. Just frustrated about the news with a new sibling.
Green eyes darkened and tired, about an hour later; Bastian came slamming into the house, a look of anger trying to hide away his prickling and edging tears.

Lauren Skyes: Not knowing what to do with herself, Lauren paced almost the entire time Bastian had been out looking for their baby. Her nails were bitten down to nothing and her eyes were blood shot, though not from tears. She'd been able to press them down for the hour and was still walking back and forth in the living room, clutching the phone to her chest. Her body, mind, and spirit ached with so many bad feelings and thoughts she didn't know how she was able to stand up right.
When Bastian slammed the door back into the house, she jumped, startled, then ran forward towards the foyer to see if it was Drew. Her little flicker of hope was gone, replaced by more worry. "I called Mrs. Mosier again and asked to talk to Lucy. She said that Drew doesn't have any other friends besides the ones we called," her throat tightened, the words painful to speak.
Both her babies. Lost in one day.
Suddenly a small sob escaped her lips, just because of that one sentence. Surprising herself from the random burst of emotion, she hunched over, still clutching that damn phone, trying so hard to push down the pain and worry. And the tears. She really didn't want to cry anymore.

Bastian Skyes ; ;
Pulling Lauren into an embrace, chin resting on her head and sighing quietly. "It'll be okay. She'll be fine." Bastian tried to reassure her and himself, pressing his lips to her hair and breathing in his wife's scent.
"Why weren't you home today?" He asked quietly, vision blurring as Bastian looked down into Lauren's blue eyes; thumb wiping over the spot where unshed tears would be.

Lauren Skyes: Lauren looked up at him with an open mouth as if to tell him everything, but that wasn't going to happen so she shut it again. Soon she pulled herself away from him slowly and hugged herself tighter. "I was hanging out with Hannah," she lied (but not completely), moving towards the kitchen because she couldn't look at him and her emotions were getting the best of her. She wanted to rip out her hair and hurt herself because this was all her fault.
She sucked in a harsh breath, gripping the side of the counter, her sadness quickly turning to anguish. She was going to lose it. No more hiding, she couldn't. This was all her fault. All of it. "This is all my fault," she croaked out, still holding onto her gut in that God damn horrible empty area that used to hold her second child. All her fault. Now Drew had run away and probably because she'd been focused more on the baby then her. Hadn't called her. Hadn't checked to make sure she got home. She was a horrible mother. All her fault.

Bastian Skyes ; ; Having followed Lauren into the kitchen, Bastian stared; he was frustrated and thankful that like his father he had a bit more patient approach on things and situations. However, his eyes could be a clear sign of the anger, but even he knew that he could not blame his wife. This was Drew, or whoever the hell took his daughter at fault; but Bastian tried not to think of that too much. “No, it’s not your fault.” Bastian leaned on the counter, rubbing his face with his palms before moving to the cupboards to pull out some mugs.
“I can’t do anything tonight, but first thing in the morning I’ll call work and can get a request to file missing persons before 48 hours.” Bastian said, like they would sleep tonight. His mind melding to make hot cocoa, sliding the mug across to Lauren.
