Lauren had a smirk plastered onto her the entire time he spoke until the last second, when he turned away. She instantly felt broken inside. She'd became exactly what she never wanted to. She was the epitome of all female species. And she knew it better than anyone, and yet she still stayed the way she was because it was safer. Better. More attention. Lauren needed attention to survive.
The way Bastians body tensed up made guilt flush her system. She had loved this ex. But she wouldn't tell anyone that. In fact, she'd rather die than admit that to anyone. But she remembered things with him that had set her world on fire and now, without it him, life just seemed dull. Their breakup had been the roughest pin point of her life. And now she was just trying to recover. Popular. She was popular and had to keep things that way, not matter how much it hurt inside.
Standing up straight, she plastered on a fake smile on her lips and took a deep breath. "Girls," she said sweetly once more and all her followers rushed to aid her. Comments whizzed by her from their mouths constantly as she headed towards the lunch room. But all Lauren was thinking about was the look on Bastians face when she'd talked about his dad. It was a low blow. She feared that she might not be able to ever forgive herself for saying those words but it wasn't that big of a deal. Or was it?
Taking out her nice, sleek phone, and slipped her fingers over it's screen towards Bastians contact. She sent him a text with only the words: I had to. For my image.

Bastian Skyes ; ;
Bastian knew that they were broken up, he shouldn’t care and shouldn’t worry; but he knew something was amiss in his heart. Not like he would ever fucking admit it, but the feeling was there in his frozen, shivering, begging heart. Though he didn’t think much of it, Bastian was too busy being himself. Yet he remembered the day when he found Lauren Moscow talking to Robert Paisley. What a name—fucking Paisley, like a designer tie or something.
At first the it had flown over his head, he was too busy with getting homework after having missed a day due to being ‘sick’—which really was him tired after a hard night of sex.
Okay, not really. But Bastian had been capable of going to school, just didn’t feel like it. He was wandering around the school for teachers, acting like he cared about his education. Really though, Bastian knew he was a grade A whore and was like an exotic dancer, and sex on a stick.
As he walked by Lauren and Robert Paisley, giving a small smile to his then-girlfriend—when he noticed that Robert and Lauren were getting too close. That was when Robert touched Lauren. It was the kind of touch that wasn’t fucking okay.
Too close to Lauren’s ass—which Paisley should have known belonged to Bastian Skyes.
That was the first time he felt jealously for a guy. Maybe it was the fact that Robert Paisley had a lot of muscle, and was a football player—easily able to please more than the lanky, anorexic looking Bastian. And maybe, just maybe, it was his self-conscious issues leaking through, as Bastian’s pale eyes snapped towards the front to where he was making his was to Mr. Schultz classroom.
It could be that fucking remembering wasn’t doing him any good either.
Jealously was just a thing of relationships, and with it came hatred, lust, and all other swarms of emotions that Bastian would fit into his figure just for the hell of pissing off the student body. His hands folded in his pockets as Bastian stared out the doors to the school, half tempted to skip the rest of the day and avoid seeing Lauren at lunch. His green eyes blinking back tears that Bastion fucking Skyes refused to shed—even if that meant lustfully flirting with a young lady or gentleman until he felt better.
Bastian wasn’t above it, and the thought was starting to make him feel better; when his pocket buzzed jerking Bastian from his thoughts. I had too. For my image. An ungodly snort erupted from his nose, pale green eyes flashing dangerously—thank god he was alone in the hallway.
And I’m a sexually promiscuous bastard all the time. For my image. The young man replied idly, sarcasm oozing in his thoughts, snapping the phone keyboard and shrugging his backpack on his shoulder. With an idle turn away from freedom, he headed back into the heart of the beast. Lunch hour, of course that means eating food and hoping nobody commented on your weight—which could easily make anyone feel bad.
Chin high as he entered the cafeteria, one wouldn’t think that Bastian Skyes fell off his high horse today; or at least he did and then got right back on it, this time with spurs.

Lauren Moscow;
Lauren's phone vibrated in her back pocket so she flipped it up and read through the message printed on the screen. She pursed her lips and shoved it back into it's place, strutting along with her followers. "I need food," she groaned and her friends all nodded along with her, of course agreeing to every statement she made. That was their job. They were there for support and loyalty, but also to be pretty. Not too pretty, no, there would be none of that. Lauren was the prettiest of the herd, and she made sure everyone knew why.
Handing off her purse to a follower, she clopped her way over to the lunch line and got a tray. Her other friends followed as she put some food on her plate; a cup of dry broccoli. Yum. She was going a little bit too far out of her diet range, but she was feeling like passing out and it would be nice to eat a few bites before throwing it away. She loved that option. Only nibbling a bit and then tossing the rest into the trash. Come to think of it, that was how most of her relationships worked. She could list them all of, but some of them she didn't even want to mention and plus the list would be way to long. Lauren took pride in her sluttiness; it wasn't every day that every guy wanted to bang you. Of course, her priorities and mind set changed when she met Bastian.
He'd saved her from that creep Robert Paisley who probably would've raped her if Bastian hadn't swept her off her feet. There was something so sexy, so riveting about Bastian, so much so that when she first laid eyes on him, she felt like looking into the eyes of tiger. A very good at banging kitty who loved doing it in the most exotic places; Lauren knew that very well. Of all the boys she'd ever been with, Bastian would always top them in the bed department, even if she denied that. And Bastian knew that too, that sexy ass.
Lauren had been biting her lip instead of paying for her broccoli and her friend bumped her. There she was again, fantzing over her ex. She sighed, feeling sexually frustrated with the whole ordeal, and paid for her meal dully. Just as she and her posse were about to walk to their normal table, Bastian waltzed in. Her eyes instantly narrowed like a cats and her tray pushed into her gut with anger.

Bastian Skyes ; ;
Bastian didn’t even bother to glance at the familiar spot in the cafeteria, where Lauren and her posse of whorelings, all gathered around to tell her how pretty she is and comment how well her diet must be going. He rolled his eyes, knowing that he needed food—the good thing about stress was that he hadn’t been able to eat more than a apple every so now and then. Then there were times spent not eating because he was so physically sick and stressed and food would make him physically sick and stress. This was bloody perfect, because he could easily lose a pound in a day, but then he’d everything in sight and gain two pounds in a day. So, really, his body was just as static as Bastian was this past month.
Grabbing a quick tray of lunch; some turkey and gravy shit with mashed potatoes. Honestly, he just shoved the potatoes in his mouth, the mental image of Lauren sneering at his delicacies and eating habits; Bastian ate whatever the fuck he wanted when he wanted. Because he can do whatever the fuck, and nobody would give an actual damn in his life.
Wow, talk about self-pitying.
As usual, the two odd kids from class came to sat down at his lunch table. They didn’t mind Bastian as he insulted them, in fact, they enjoyed the bantering back and forth like he did. It made them both feel human, it made Bastian feel like he wasn’t the only snarky-bitch in the school—which he wasn’t if Bastian dragged his thoughts about his ex.
Sometimes, they brought over others and it was hard not to overhear, so he was inclined to overhear things, mostly opinions interjecting. From where he sat, he can see Lauren’s sharp, manicured fingernails that were equal to Bastian’s own. He never bothered to do his nails before meeting the girl, maybe it was the joy she got when they trailed over her skin; instead of the stubs that once were his bad habit of biting the nails to jagged, uncomfortable, stumps.
“Hey, Bastian. Bas—”
“The touch of the fingertips is as sexy as it gets,” he murmurs thoughtlessly. He forgets what they’re talking about, lost. The girl he had loved so much has too long fingers, too big of a smile when she’s happy, and too big of an ass to resist. Then again, Bastian couldn’t blame any other man in the room, staring at the girl, thinking the same thing.
“What?”
His thoughts jerked, pale green eyes swiveling towards the young man named Ian Nicely; blinking once and then twice, trying to comprehend what he said aloud. “Nothing.” Bastian finally said, earning some stares of disbelief and pity—like they knew how Bastian thought and how ticked. Like they knew what went on through his head at the moment, fingertips trailing soft skin. Too soft of skin.
“So, what were you saying,” Bastian muttered trying to focus again on the people around him. “What, you think I listen to everything you say?” He added for good measure, his face drawing into one to show his high and mighty attitude. Even they knew it was a lie, and per usual, ignored when Bastian came off are rude.
“We were just talking about how Robert Paisley shoved Tom into a locker this morning, he has quite the bruise on his shoulder,” Bastian’s stomach dropped at the name. “Didn’t you deal with the guy before?”
“Yes. Yes—” he choked out quietly, thinking. “I know what to do.” Bastian could see Robert Paisley from where he sat, lo and behold the young man’s eyes were trained on the person Bastian didn’t need to think about—in fear the thoughts of fingernails trailing soft skin would flash through his already perverted thoughts.
Spooning in a hearty amount of mashed potatoes, taking aim quietly while ignoring the protests of those at the table. No, he wasn’t doing this for Tom—because Bastian was selfish. He was taking his anger out on Paisley for staring at Lauren, before and after break up. For wanting to get in her pants, which if Bastian can’t then nobody can. Then again, the slut probably has done it numerous times, he didn’t know why he still fought for her; some noble shit.
Bastian wasn’t noble, and yet the mashed potatoes flung and hit true to their mark. A large, buttery, and starchy welt appearing on his cheek, shoulder, with flecks in his overly greased back hair. A look of shock crossing his face, and then anger, his face demanding silence from the cafeteria—those who he couldn’t control—as he stood up to look around for whoever the hell would take a shot at him.
His face was neutral, a guarded expression as their eyes locked. A brown eyebrow rising in challenge, before Parsley—Paisley—began speaking. “Who fucking did it.” Bastian smirked, not letting his emotions get in the way. Watching as the man began to slid through those who would listen.

Lauren Moscow:
Lauren had been staring at her broccoli and chatting with her friends when she heard the shouting. Her blue eyes danced up and landed on Robert Paisley who had a large slab of food sticking to his cheek. Her features curled up in a smirk as she held back her laughter. Finally, the creep got something he deserved. She popped a borccoli in her mouth, watching the show. Her gaze traveled over Bastian who was sitting with his normal friends and her smile got even larger. The only person she knew who stood up to Robert was her ex, and by the way he was slyly smirking, she knew he was colperate. She stared at him with a huge grin on her face, knowing very well who just started the food fight. { sorry short post }

Bastian Skyes ; ; Bastian stood up to go throw his food away, knowingly some eyes trailed in his wake—hopefully on his ass—as the few people in the area who listen to Robert Paisley held in a breath. The glop hit the black trash can with a dull thunk, gripping the small bottle of chocolate milk as the rest went away and the tray was swiped from his hands to be cleaned by the lunch ladies.
Just as Bastian was walking back to his table, however, he stopped when he’d noticed Robert Paisley standing before him with a glob of mashed potatoes—a smirk on his face like figuring out Bastian was the original culprit was the answer to Einstein’s theory to relativity, or Gödel’s incompleteness theorems.
People were staring at this point, even Bastian and Robert having one as the lankier dared the jock to throw the food in his face; Bastian’s grip on his milk tightening slightly. His ‘friends’ were watching, and he even noted Lauren had her eyes on him. Good, she can stare at his fine rebellious ass. “God I know I’m fabulous, but seriously—”
He was cut off as the jock mercilessly threw the sticky and starchy substance over Bastian’s face, a bit of juice from the corn making it runny slightly; touching his lips with the disgusting taste of Robert Paisley. However, Bastian didn’t seem to faze by it at all, as he unscrewed the lid of his milk in than a second and threw it towards the jock’s fan. “You little fucking bitch,” he shouted, making a move towards Bastian.
Before he could do anything, more food hit him. Causing more people to stare and some to join in against the rebellion of the social hierarchy. Well, Bastian didn’t; he merely glided past his seat to pick up his backpack. Noting that Ian was lacking his pudding which was on Robert’s new shirt, and other things. If he cared about friendship, Bastian would have snorted and told them he wasn’t their friend and they didn’t have to give a shit about him.
His shoulder twitched lightly, ducking before an apple hit him in the head. “Right, I’m going to ditch before my sworn enemies end up throwing their trays and silverware at my head.” He muttered, passing by the ground as the food began to fly from all corners of the cafeteria now.
Well, when one thinks ’food fight’, most would think the whole school would be on board for it. Happily throwing their meal, well, many of the boys who had watched too much television when younger were and some of the girls who didn’t give a shit about their appearance—however, the anti-climatic answer was that there were people ducking left and right out of the cafeteria. And most of the food being thrown was from the jocks and going across tables, only a few bravely throwing something across the room.
Some girls were screaming as gravy got on their new sweater, and Bastian swore he would look for Lauren to see if she got hit and just laugh. He slid lightly on the wet floor, feet hitting the carpet as Bastian ducked into the hallway, his head held high as a small crowd flowed through; muttering about what was ruined, or if they got out without being hit by food. Leaving him pressed against the wall, unable to squeeze through towards the restroom to wash off.

Lauren Moscow;
The minute food started to fly, Lauren was down on the ground, hiding from it all. There was no way in hell that she would elt food get into her perfect hair, and especially so early in the day. She ducked under her table, flashing her eyes around to find an escape. Before everything got too bad she ducked out from the table and crawled towards the exit as fast as she could, leaving her followers behind as they got pummeled with food.
Something got splattered on a table and the remains bombed her back. She could feel the gross usbstance on her neck, but ignored it as best as she possibly could. She needed to get to 'safety' and fast. Just as her soft hands reached out to touch the carpet of the hallway, a shadow fell over her. "No!" she screamed in slow motion but the attacker didn't listen. Mashed potatoes and gravy was dumped right onto her head.
She would've bitch slapped him to Kansas if that little shit freshman hadn't run off like a pansy. Lauren stood still, still on her hands and knees, and shook as the slimy substance began to slip past her ears and onto her face. Oh hell to the fucking no. This was not happening. Lauren didn't even have time to move before more food got slapped onto her outfit. She tried not to cry as she finished moving out of the door way and into the hallway, passed legs and feet of onlookers gazing into the cafeteria. Today was just not her day.
When she was able to get to her feet she swabbed the mashed potatoes from her eyes, which she assumed smeared her make-up. She growled angrily and stomped towards the bathroom, food flying off of her as she did so.

Bastian Skyes ; ; There was a brief moment of relief when Bastian noticed coming from another exit, and stomping wildly, was the girl he wanted to see with food on the most. And that’s exactly what she had, bits of mashed potatoes flying as she marched away, shoving through the crowd of gathering students, right towards the bathroom. Wiping some of the white starchy substance from his cheek, flicking it towards a kids shoulder casually as the young man made to follow. Well, he couldn’t very well go into the bathroom, especially since the girlish squeals of other girls were erupting from inside indicating it was full—what? Bastian had no problems entering the female bathroom when alone, doing probably not-so-school appropriate things; but there were days where Bastian would idly sit on the counter and watch Lauren freshen up, sweetly sucking up to the bitch by saying things like: “you know you’re always beautiful” or “you’re gorgeous with less lipstick” with his idle charm.
Of course, nowadays if anyone would remind him of that Bastian would defend himself that he was just trying to get in her pants that night, and that it was all lies. It meant nothing.
Pale green eyes looked up from his finely manicured nails at every girl that exited the bathroom, wondering if they were Lauren or not—until his hopes was dashed. Then again, he knew the skank. She would probably skip math just to make herself look nice enough for the boys in school, like looking ugly was an insult. Bastian leaned on the wall opposite to the bathroom, occasionally wiping the rest of what hit him in the face off; though there was the lingering stench of Robert Paisley, and his gray v-neck shirt was definitely ruined. Thankfully, his pants and shoes had been spared it seems. He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the drying clings of potatoes; the brown strands standing up like he had just gotten back from a long days sex, oh well. Wasn’t like he never came to school looking like that before.

Lauren Moscow; After failing hopelessly to get all of the potatoes from her hair, Lauren opted into pulling her hair up onto her head to conceal the dried food clinging to her scalp. Then she brought out her emergency make-up kit and touched up her face as best she could. She didn't look too awful. That was a lie. Lauren looked like shit.
But there was honestly nothing more she could do. She decided that instead of facing everyone, she'd hide in the library until school was over. Her mom would understand. She always did.
With one last touch of lip gloss, she washed her hands, dried them off, and then pushed open the door of the bathroom with a sigh. Her teeth instantly clamped shut and she sneered at Bastian's cocky ass standing outside the bathroom. Waiting for her. What a fucking prick.
"Get a life," she snapped and tried to pass him quickly towards the library.

Bastian Skyes ; ; “Get a life” He heard her say, barely glancing up from his fingernails. The thoughts of them trailing down her back lightly perverting his mind, before he forced himself to look up at her. His per usual cocky smirk on his face, stepping easily so Bastian was walking backwards in front of the girl, class had already started seconds ago so the hallways were empty of people to trip up.
He stared her down for a minute, not afraid of Lauren like most men and women might be. “Contrary to popular belief of the school, I do have a life that isn‘t just sex.” Bastian stated airily, glancing back to make sure he didn’t run into a wall. “I like to read, write, doodle, and cook—” again, if anyone tries to call him out on it, he will castrate them.
“in case you forgot.” There was a sickly sweet smile with his dripping sarcasm, or maybe that was some loose corn he missed on his lower lip.

Lauren Moscow: "Aw, poor little Bastian, trying to come up with things to do in his life when he has no sex life," she had the audacity to reach out and pinch his cheek. Lauren was only afraid of Bastian when in bed; and that was a hot kind of fear. But now his smug ass smile was just making her angrier than she already was. "How sweet," she flashed him a bitter smile and then tried stepping around him as they walked.

Bastian Skyes ; ; He swiped her hand away, his face turning into a frown; disappointment? Frustration? Anger? Emotions briefly flashed in his eyes, like she had to put up an act for him when they were alone. “Well, one of us has to be less sluttier than the other,” he amended snarkily; easily side-stepping as Lauren tried to pass him. It was a game of cat-and-mouse for the two of them now.
And god, Bastian hates games. Unless they were in bed, then he’s all down for them; he’s a whore after all, remember?
His eyes narrowed, before he commented on Lauren’s appearance. Knowing that will frustrate her more, “you look like shit. Not like earlier, just-had-sex shit…but actual bad day shit.” Bastian raised an eyebrow, “which means you’re obviously going into hiding for the rest of the day.” He figured, like Sherlock Holmes; though Bastian was anything but. He just knew the girl, how to get under her skin, her quirks. Like she knew he can’t stand celery, hates people messing around in his fucking kitchen, will never admit to liking Shakespeare, or the fact that Bastian can be extremely self-conscious like a woman—sometimes—especially with his weight. Even fighting doctors with getting on a scale.
His lips twitched cockily, awaiting for some smart-ass retort from his ex.

Lauren Moscow: Lauren opened her mouth to reply, sarcasm ready to pour out from her mouth and smack into his smug face. But something made her close it. To be honest, Lauren was a little tired of always trying to one up Bastian; and when she didn't have to be mean, she would take the chance. Bastian was just trying to get a reaction out of her, which she would usually have pounced on if she was given the opportunity, but she was too mad. This whole day had gone to shit and she just wanted curl up into a ball. Her bottom lip quivered, but she pushed back the tears. "Go weigh yourself or something Sebastian, I'm not in the mood," she spoke through gritted teeth and tried side stepping by him once more.
She hugged herself, her cheeks flared with heat. Her comback had been awful, but she had too many thoughts in her mind to come up with something better. Each of Bastian's words felt like daggers, as much as always, but she was mentally exausted to put up her wall. They stabbed her kingdom and left it weaker with each hit. She needed to get out of there before she blew up in a messy and angry fit of tears.

Bastian Skyes ; ; The thing about the world is that it can mean nothing, or it can mean anything. Some hold things too close, too dearly, they are overemotional people. Bastian realizes that he’s one at a young age. Then there are people who don’t hold it close at all. Nothing is special, and everthing is just time. It is just another day, and a person is just a person. Lauren looks too close at the details, but Bastian stares at the big picture. Sometimes, that’s okay. Bastian realizes he’s never going to see the world as a whole, but Lauren keeps dreaming.
The thing about dreams is that they are only dreams because they are not reality. But when they become reality, Bastian knows it’ll lose meaning, then what does he have to dream for? Everything is a contradiction. Like too or Lauren’s eyes—because they’re blue, but they’re so soft that they are almost as light as air. They look like a completely different color. Bastian wonders if glass is a color when he finally looks into Lauren’s eyes and stops, letting her pass.
His own green eyes watched her carefully, “are you okay?” He asked quietly, ignoring her retort which should hurt. It really should, Bastian would wince at anyone who made idle comments about him weighing himself or their own weight compared to his. No, his mind had drifted to the well-being of Lauren.
Because glass was fragile, it could break, shatter. And though things like that could be fixed with glue, and look good as new. It wouldn’t be able to hold water, the weight of a flower could break it again—it was broken. And things like glass are meant to be untouched, but Lauren has fingerprints all over; smudged, dirty, and Bastian can’t help but choke up because he was part of it. And because being held, she could drop and break; which was just as horrible as death.
His eyes closed, “I’m sorry.” He says before he realizes his pride, his arrogance, and cockiness; all gone in that moment of weakness from Lauren. Pity. That’s what he felt, pity.

Lauren Moscow: Lauren stood still when Bastian's voice turned softer and it stopped her from continuing into the library. She hadn't heard him talk to her like that in so long, and it hurt a bit. This side of Sebastian, the kinder on, was one she missed a lot of the time. A completely different person, maybe. But it was nice to hear something besides smack ass remarks spitting from his nice plump lips.
"My hairs a mess and this day is shit," she shook her head, turning to him. Her eyes laced over his body; sexy, like usual. She took a deep breath, then her sense picked up something. Her blue beauties landed on the door knob of a supply closet. Their supply closet. Bastian and her had had so many quickies in that closet. And the joke was, Lauren hadn't brought anyone else to their special hiding spot, no matter how whoreish she got. That was their spot, and she never forgot it. A small smirk played over her angry features. "Hey, look. It's our Fuck Cubby," she snorted and pulled on her pig tail. Oh how they had romped between class periods. Those were the good days, when things were simple and the sex...the sex was fantastic. Lauren hadn't experience anyone better in bed than Bastian, and she didn't think she'd even find anyone else to top it either. So she was stuck thinking about all their previous encounters instead of how mad she was at the world.
