Levi Anderson ; ; His breath hitched at her words, trying to process and think of what to say. Levi wasn’t lying when he shrugged and said, “your ass is great, some men will find it attractive.” He gave the girl a grimace at the sudden closeness, drawing a blank.
“A secret?” He asked dumbfounded, trying to think off the top of his head at the most normal secret, but Levi could draw to nothing. Rose wouldn’t remember any of this, she was too intoxicated; he wanted to comply to her demands but they were personal.
Sighing, hot air breathing on her face. “I was a teenage pregnancy child, I went right into an orphanage when I was young because there were no parents looking to adopt me; so until four I didn’t have a mom and dad. When I did, they soon became my parents, Mary, Stephen and Levi Mosier. It was nice. My…mom and I were in an accident, she died, I came out mostly uninjured. It…drove a rift between my father and I.” A fucking gaping hole, Levi thought sourly, clamping his mouth shut at that.

Rose She just smiled at him when he complimented her ass before scooting as close as humanly possible, her nose inches from his, eyes flickering over his face. His breath tickling over her nose made her eyelashes flutter as she looked up at him.
As she listened to him speak, her intoxicated brain tried to capture all of the details, but alas, she couldn't find much more to say than, "That's a big secret," in a whisper. Somewhere deep down, she knew she should probably try to remember this all. But the twirling, bubbling, rest of her mind was too blurred and unfocused to do that.
But just because she wouldn't remember it didn't mean she couldn't reply. "Why didn't you," she hiccuped, covering her mouth, "ever tell someone?" her eyes kept moving over him, pieces of her hair falling into her face messily, which made her laugh.

Levi Anderson ; ; He began to fiddle with the hem of his pants, Levi becoming quiet quite suddenly; “because…” he croaked, blue-grey eyes not looking up, growing wide with memories and shock. He wasn’t one to bring his past bubbling forwards, some parts he shared, others were kept wholly to himself. Rarely, even, does anyone know. One or two people know the gist or have guessed his life, what he did.
“My father, well, I don’t even like to call him father really…” Levi spat bitterly, looking away. Closing his eyes, a single tear falling from his cheek. “After his wife died, Stephen went downhill, alcohol, drugs, from perfect teacher to a man fired and now working whatever odd jobs he could gather. In compensation to his loss, Stephen blamed me. I lived, she didn’t. I was, the one he put his abuse on…physical, emotional, verbal…sexual…” His voice decreased to a whisper, not even trying to hide the emotion breaking through.

Rose Rose, when he was done speaking, lifted her hand and wiped away one of Levi's small tears with her shaking fingers. "Don't cry Levi," she said softly, even through her drunkness, sensing his pain. It worried her. She didn't know exactly what was happening, but enough to realize it wasn't anything like Levi to cry. So, drunk-induced boldness came over her and she raised her fingers up, blue eyes searching his, grabbing his chin gently. "You're not alone, I'm here!" she said softly, though she didn't really know what she meant by the words. Other hand moving to brush some of his bangs back, she led his chin closer to hers, inch by inch, until her lips just brushed his. "Just please don't cry," she said softly again before it was too late to back down, she was too close to him, her blood pumping too fast. For a split second, her mind told her it was wrong, that she shouldn't be doing this.
But in the end, Rose kissed Levi somewhat messily on the lips.

Levi Anderson ; ; His eyes widened in shock, but Levi didn’t push her away. He wasn’t feeling the same feeling as with Holland and other girls, a hunger and desire, a lustfulness that fills a void. Instead, Levi slowly kissed back, Rose’s kiss was sloppy (he even wasn’t sure if it was her first or not…), and her mouth tasted like alcohol. Yet he indulged for a bit, letting the moment sink in, their noses brushing.
She wouldn’t remember it, so Levi broke it off before it went further. His eyes bore into hers, but there was a slight smile, “I won’t cry anymore, okay?” He promised, holding out his pinky. It was only half his story, but it felt like a truckload either way.
“Let’s get you home, okay? You need sleep and a lot of aspirin for the morning.”

Rose With a grin, Rose swung her pinky into his and locked it there happily. "Deal," she giggled, moving to get up but having to grab onto Levi's shoulder as the world suddenly turned around her.
"Oh shit," was all she got to say before she turned, made it a few steps away, and puked in the gutter of the street. Her hands gripped the sidewalk so hard that her knuckles were white and her breath was heavy with exhaustion. Tears from throwing up pooled her eyes as she wiped her mouth again and tried to catch her breath, whole body shaking.
Levi was right, she needed to go home.

Levi Anderson ; ; Having been to a few parties and seen what happens, Levi was by the girl’s side patting her back and tugging her hair back; grimacing in disgust himself. He remembered this sort of thing all too well recently, it wasn’t pleasant.
Once she was done, he pulled Rose up to lean on her shoulders. After about a mile, she finally relented to her drowsiness and he was carrying the girl bridal style until she could stumble once again and Levi himself was going to fall into a dead faint.
After about an hour or more of walking, Levi unlocked the door to the house. With a finger pressed to his lips in a gesture of silence (well as much as Rose could give him walking wise), they began the decent up to the next floor to where Rose’s room was.

Rose Stumbling the entire time, Rose's drowsiness was kicking in to the full extent now, making it very difficult to walk let alone go up the stairs. But with Levi's help, and a few bursts of laughter that were soon shushed by her foster brother, Rose made it to her bedroom, slowly making her way to her bed and falling half on it, half off, too tired to get any further. She looked up at Levi with large blue eyes.
"Can you bring me that shirt?" she asked him quietly, pointing to a shirt thrown on the floor messily. It was just an overly large white t-shirt, but she loved wearing it to bed. She covered her mouth as an alcohol smelling burp filled her senses and she tried not to gag again, curling into a ball with her arms hugging her stomach. As Levi got her the shirt, which she expected him to do even if he didn't, she moved to take off the shirt she had on messily, which was difficult to coordinate since she was still dizzy. When she finally got the shirt off, now just in her bra and pants, she started to slip those off too, revealing lacy underwear. For a second, she looked up at Levi, but then she was going right back to undressing in her spot on the ground.
When she was done, she lifted her arms like a baby, hoping Levi would pull the shirt over her head.

Levi Anderson ; ; For the most part, Levi was unaffected by the undressing; he’d seen women naked. It was a bit awkward because it was Rose of all people, making the young man fidgeting uncomfortably on his spot. But he obliged to her request and slipped the shirt on for her. “Lay down, mmkay? You’re going to need something for the morning. I’ll be right back.”
With that Levi himself slipped out of the room towards the kitchen quietly, grabbing a glass and some water for Rose to drink when the hangover kicked in. Walking back upstairs, he set it down on the bedside table, looking to the blonde girl. “Anything else?” He asked quietly, looking down.

Rose Curled up under the covers now, a silver of the moon shining over her face through a slat in the window, Rose blinked up at him, cheek pressed into her pillow. She grimaced, her head already hurting, but all she wanted to do was sleep.
But one thing Levi didn't know was that she'd had nightmare for weeks. Every single night, with the fear of being left alone and other horrific things that all settled into her brain at night, she was scared to sleep.
Thinking it might be her chance, and also durnk, obvi, Rose bit her lip and asked quietly, "Stay with me?" blue eyes shining, comforter pulled up to her chin, blond hair cascading over her pillows.

Levi Anderson ; ; In the darkness, Levi was half way to the door when he paused and turned around. “What?” He asked again, blue eyes shining slightly in the moonlight filtering in. Looking into her eyes, he sighed finally; giving her a grumbling tease, “fine.” So, he closed the door with him still in the room and walked over to the bed. Eyeing it, he knew in his sweater Levi would get hot; plus he didn’t feel like changing out of his jeans. So, taking off his belt and flinging it aside on the floor, he pulled off his shirts to reveal his bare chest, a riddle of white scars and some discolored skin, and a necklace always hidden by his shirt and hardly seen by anyone. It was his Medical Alert ID, indicating anxiety, hanging on his torso. Levi never bothered to take it off, the cool chain always a comfort for most of his life. “Budge over,” Levi grunted, slipping under the covers so he was laying on one of the pillows, facing Rose passively. His blank look had returned, his cheeks dashed with red from the night. Blinking, Levi closed his eyes and hugged the blankets closer. He wasn’t asleep, but his breathing had evened out.

Rose Having scooted over, Rose was facing the same way as Levi now, tired, but still too scared to fall asleep. Even though his eyes were closed, and she thought maybe he was sleeping, she started to talk to him.
"You know, sometimes I wonder what it'd be like, how different it'd be if you never came to live with us," she started, saying the words slowly because it was taking a lot of brain power to speak at all, let alone anything coherent. But she was able to keep going, squinting her eyes closed tightly and readjusting herself in the bed, feet tickling his as she did, then they were retreated away just as fast as they'd appeared. With a heavy sigh into the pillow, Rose said, "But I promise that every time I'm done, I always know the answer is that I wouldn't want you anywhere but here," she said honestly.
As sleep was beginning to over take her, Rose's eyelashes flutter as she yawned out one last thing, "Thank you, Levi," before falling asleep with the reassurance that she wasn't alone and that she was safe in her bedroom.

Levi Anderson ; ; A small smile tugged at Levi’s lips as he too fell asleep.

Rose When she awoke, it was like an immediate train full of a thousands tons of bricks and boulders decided to ram right into Rose's head and swirl around in it, causing her eyes to snap open and instantaneously squint closed again in shock. And pain.
Moaning, her hand came to her forehead and touched it as if it were sensitive on the outside, which she found out too soon it was. Her make-up from the night before was tight on her cheeks and eyes, and her mouth felt gooey and tasted horrible.
Moving to try and open her eyes again, she heaved a little from the effort, finding instant nausea in her stomach. "Shit," she garbled, waiting until the bile in her throat at subsided a little before trying once more to open her eyes successfully.
And when she did, she opened them right into the sight of a peacefully sleeping, softly snoring Levi Anderson.
Flailing, her brain wasn't processing it fast enough, as to why he was in her bed and before she could stop herself, she'd moved so forcefully she'd fallen off the bed, taking her comforter with her, sprawling on the floor in a tangled mess. This caused more bile to rise up and she swallowed it down, covering her mouth, trying to understand what was happening.
Damn her head hurt.
Okay, she thought. I just have to assess the situation. Shit her mind was whirling and stabbing with pain. Shirtless Levi, in my bed, don't remember anything from the party last night. Shit shit shit. she cursed at herself and tried to get up, feeling like the world was lurching underneath her, and falling to the ground again messily, comforter still crammed between her aching fingers. "Shit," she said it again, and out loud, loudly, then winced when she regretted it.

Levi Anderson ; ; His mind instantly awoke at the chill breeze, hearing a thump; Levi knew it was Rose over-reacting or something along the lines. Levi left his eyes closed before blinking them open and sitting up in his bed with a jingle of his chain necklace, glancing down at the girl on the floor. Pain was etched in her face, knowing what was causing it, Levi scooted and reached for the water; passing it down for her. “You need water and I have some aspirin here somewhere—ah!” He pulled the bottle from a nightstand drawer, having set it inside quietly. It was force of habit, he knew alcohol and medicine didn’t collide and if Rose had taken it before sleeping he knew it could be dangerous.
Tossing the bottle towards Rose, it landed in-between her legs where she was curled on the floor. Reaching down, Levi tugged the comforter back up; glancing at the analog clock. “It’s fucking 6 AM, go back to fucking bed afterwards and move your garbage can closer to bed; you might fucking well need it.” Levi wasn’t a morning person, it was natural he was extra grumpy with 4 hours or something of sleep and major bed head, black strands sticking up some, eyes dull grey and lifeless—but very scary.
He brought the comforter back up to his nose and snuggled into the bed a little, not even commenting on her face of horror, or thinking she was thinking they had done it.
